This time of year is always a time of opinions and all of us fans playing arm chair GM, Scout, and Head Coach. I know we will be taking a QB first overall, as we should. I personally do not have a strong opinion either way on which young man we choose, but I do not think we can pass on the chance to get a "franchise" signal caller. After that in the draft, I think our game plan will be based off of what we decide to do in free agency. I think there are some value free agents that stand out as possible contributors for the Bucs. Just throwing some names out there, if there are any more that stand out to you, please let me know. I just want to see a competitive team this year and for the future!1. S- Da'Norris Searcy- BillsSearcy replaced All-Pro Byrd and played pretty good. I like this signing because it is a cheaper alternative to breaking the bank on McCourtey and helps give us a solid all around safety. It could also give us more comfort in cutting Golson.2. RT- Joe Barksdale- RamsA young (26) thickly built RT, Barksdale is more of a run blocker than pass blocker. But if Dotson stays on the left side, Barksdale could be a good signing. He could also allow Collins, assuming we do not cut him, to move to RG, where he is better suited to be successful.3. CB- Kareem Jackson- TexansVernaur and Banks are solid but not spectacular. In our division, you can never have to many quality corners, and Jackson is still young at 27 and coming off his best season. 4. NT- Dan Williams- CardinalsI know that he was a nose tackle in a 3-4 scheme, but I am viewing him as a 2 down nose stopper in a 4-3, and McDonald coming in on pass rushing downs. If you look back on why the Cardinals had one of the better defenses in the league, it is hard not to notice Dan Williams eating double teams and controlling the point of attack. This would also help free up MJ and GMac.5. DE- Jerry Hughes- BillsHis stock seems to be going up, and it looks like the Bills may be using the franchise tag on him. But you can never have enough pass rushers, and currently we have slim pickings in our shelves. Hughes over us a nice speed rusher that has started hitting his stride at the age of 266. C/G- Stefen Wisniewski- RaidersHe may be asking for a bit to much money, but with the poor play of EDS, injury of Mankins, and the terrible play of every other guard we had, it may make since to bring in a young center that is still talented and can work with our rookie QB for years to come. He is only 25.7. RT- Derek Newton- TexansHas 46 starts in the past 3 years with the Texans, and has helped a consistently strong running attack. He has been the lesser talked about talent on the O-Line of the Texans, but he has very much been a key contributor. At 27, he is coming off the best season of his career.I know we can not get all of these players, but in my opinion it would make more sense to get 4 or 5 players like I have listed, than getting 1 or maybe 2 break the bank type players. Any other players stand out to you guys?
