Im gonna be in New York during the time of the draft this year. My brother and I thought about trying to go to it but dont know anything about how it works. Have any of you been or know someone who has been? And if so do you think it was worth it? Thanks for any info guys.

I have not been, but have looked into it.  A couple years ago a few buds and I were thinking about going for a long bachelor party weekend in NYC.  If memory serves, you have one of a couple options.  You can get one of the few levels of VIP passes and each includes different levels of access or you can wait in line outside MSG for general admission tickets but then you run the risk of them selling out before you get to the window.

Its free to get in, but there are not a lot of seats available. People line up the night before, to get a wristband, but even that does not guarantee you get in. Thursday night, they start giving out tickets, only people with wristbands are eligible. But they give the tickets out randomly, to whoever they want. Its not a huge place, Radio City Music Hall, I think its callled. So its tough to get in.Players family's, agents, media types, all get in before the average fan.  Oh, and don't "buy" a ticket to get in. That is a common scam, tickets are free, if someone tries to sell you a ticket, its bogus.

A friend of mine went when the Jets traded up and drafted Sanchez a few years back. He said a swarm of Jets fans walked right out of the building yelling every word imaginable

LOL, can't say I blame them.  They make you register for the wristband with ID. So if there are any problems later, they know where to find you.

Never been but I know people who have. They say it's an experience. Not too much to do there but its worth it.

I tried to go when the Bucs drafted Gaines Adams so that was when it was still during the day. I got into line at about 5am and at like 11am when I was 20 spots from the front of the line, they ran out of tickets. That sucked.

I haven't been since it was moved to to Radio City Music Hall. I've heard that there are about 5000 seats for fans. You have to pick up a voucher the day before at the RCMH box office. to gain entry.

I went in 2005 and had a blast. Had lots of cool entertainment and some players signing autographs. My dad somehow got me and him wristbands. I think they may do it differently now.
