Carr's accuracy suffers when he is throwing off his back foot but that is the case with many young QB's (especially when under pressure). It will be interesting to see if Carr participates in the senior bowl as that is the best place for him to improve his stock again. There are rumblings that McCaron may choose not to participate which I believe would be a mistake.
Not rumblings, McCarron declined to go which to me is insane. His whole schtick should be I am smart and NFL ready and a coachable winner. Not going to the Senior Bowl means that his tape is all he has and the last tape he has raises a lot of questions about how good he is when he's not in the perfect Bama bubble.

He looks... Dilfer-ish to me.
If we picked Carr , and there was an honest competition in camp , I really don't believe he would even beat out Glennon . Not in year 1 for sure.A lot of excuses being made about " that was 2 years ago and he had injurues" ,blah blah blah. But watch him against USC ( probably the only decent competition he played all season ) in the bowl game at the end of this year : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8zGUnF3atI All the same issues from the 1st video . Dude simply isn't that good.If we go after this guy 7th overall we are reaching ...plain and simple. Only saving grace might be Tedford's magic touch.

So no Matthews? OK, I offered, Ill give him to the Browns, he didnt need a future anyway.
Acutally I'd accept Mattews also.

baller...Aaron Rodgers type prospect
If they really like the guy that falls to 7 I have no problem with them picking a QB. I also have no problem if they don't.
Based on those vids....i say no to Carr

I assume that he'll go to St Louis or Atlanta
I wouldn't rule it out - I think a quarterback IS in play at #7 depending on who's available. However, as I mentioned in another thread, when you pick a quarterback that high, the GM, coach and OC are married to the guy so you better be damn sure that he's likely to be a success. Smith and Tedford (and possibly the new GM) really need to evaluate Glennon before the draft and decide if he's good enough to get a shot at being the guy or if they have to get someone else.Frankly, I'd hate to be in their shoes this year. If they go with Glennon and he fails and someone they could have drafted lights it up, they are going to look bad. Draft someone and he turns out like Akili Smith and Glennon beats him out is also bad. The only way you get away with success in this draft is if Glennon at least looks okay and you pick a slam dunk pro bowl player.I'm still thinking the best player for the Bucs might be Sammie Watkins, but that's just MO.
I agree we should go after Sammy. VJax has a couple more years and if we are still figuring out the QB position, he might bolt.

What Bowl game did Glennon play in? Did he ever play in one? So Carr has a bad game in a Bowl game but Glennon waits to get to the NFL, have a starting job HANDED to him, and goes the entire season crumbling in the 4th quarter.
Carr is basically a Glennon clone. I see nothing gained in drafting him. Not worried though. Lovie is a smart man and I don't see him handcuffing himself to Carr.
