just saw Aqib’s brother was sentenced for murder stemming from “a disagreement at a youth football game”? And that Aqib is somehow linked to the crime. I just don’t get it. Where does this You hurt my pride Imma kill you mentality come from ? I remember back during his time here it seemed every offseason when he went back to Texas to visit his family he always seemed to get into some trouble usually involving guns. I’ve not done any research regarding where he came from or home life, does anyone have any insight ? He was a great player here. Just a situation of million dollar talent 5 cent head ?

Pretty much my thoughts as well Penny. Some of these NFL players come from neighborhoods and backgrounds that are difficult to separate themselves from. Some of their buddies and friends aka crews are hard for them to walk away from. The problem is that Talib's brother brought a gun to a youth football game. Bonehead move there. Then his emotions get out of control and he kills someone over what probably was a stupid argument. Should have left his gun at home or not even own one. That will be what haunts him while he lives out his sentence in prison.
Some people choose violence. Maybe there is a time and place for violence it usually is meant for defending yourself in 2023. However some people still choose violence to solve it. I've always thought there is better ways to deal with things than going that negative extreme but what do I know.

Not really sure. Based on the article it just said Aqib wasn’t charged criminally but could face civil liability, and that he had a new venture with Amazon about to begin that he stepped away from.
If you read carlton davis feature report, he talks about guns being brought to youth football games and gambling is involved. Sometimes people don't leave where they come from, its their source of friends/family
