Here's a simple idea, if you don't want to read through a mega thread how about you just don't read through it, ignore it.Is that so hard to do?Do we need to call the police because somebody has a gun to your head?The size of the thread is right there to see on the front page.Plus to get to those massive sizes it obviously means other people are talking in them, lets just stop that because you don't want to see a mega thread, it's not like message boards are for people to talk on and discuss, debate, argue about topics is is, oh wait...

This is a bad opinion. Moderators please ignore. Merge baby merge. What irks me on forums are folks like bass who think every thought they have is worthy of it's own section for attention. Usually it's because their opinions are lame and no one would pay attention to them in a normal flow of discussion. I also take personal offense to this subject line.
There are those of us that don't want to read or partake in megathreads. Opinions get swallowed whole
