There are a lot of similarities to where Atlanta was a year ago, and where we are now. The Falcons' killed it in the free agency and the draft. Mack, Sanu, Gabriel (waiver wire), Neal, Jones, Hooper, Campbell are all coming up big for them. They have very few weaknesses as a team (we'll see if anyone can expose those CB's..)
The Bucs and Falcons are very different teams though. The Falcons have hit big time on 2 rbs, while the bottom fell out of our stable this year. There O-Line and scheme are also peeking. The Bucs path feels different than the Falcons.
There are 2 keys imo if the Bucs want to compete against the Falcons next year:
1. Our Defense becomes dominant. We are a few pieces away. Let's get those pieces.
2. Winston becomes better than Matt Ryan. That's a tall task, but what Winston does have over Ryan is the ability to create his own play.
I'm sure Winston will get more weapons this offseason, but we are not going to have better weapons than the Falcons next year no matter what we do. Our O-Line isn't going to be better than theirs most likely either. Let's be able to get after Ryan and show why Jameis is better.
