Lions signed DE Robert Ayers to a one-year contract.
Released by the Bucs in March, the veteran received almost no interest on the open market coming off a two-sack season. Detroit needs pass rushers, however, and Ayers should at worst help out as a situational option. CB Josh Okonye was waived in a corresponding move.
