I realize they have to rank us somewhere but 20 feels like they see the same injury riddled team with a patchwork offensive line being trotted out in September. It’s lazy writing.
Or, they see the same mediocre coach that had his team quit on him last year, unable to win a dogshit division (who ironically enough, got better this offseason, while we got worse).
But, I'm sure THIS is the season we finally see the greatness of Bowles.

I guess I have a lot more faith in Robinson/Baker than most do.
I think we will be right where most expect us. 8-10 wins

i mean Mike Evans having absolutely no faith in the team kind of tells you all you need to know if you take the blinders off...
NFC South Division Winner
Bucs +140
Saints +290
Panthers +350
Falcons +425
PFF post free agency power ranking has the Bucs at 20. BUt that is ABOVE all other NFC South teams
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Without Mike Evans and Lavonte David, two of the longest-tenured Buccaneers in franchise history, a changing of the guard is underway in Tampa. The losses extended to Jamel Dean and Logan Hall, among other players with significant experience in the Buccaneers system. As the departures mounted, the Buccaneers moved to fill in the gaps with capable contributors, such as Alex Anzalone, Kenneth Gainwell and A'Shawn Robinson. Those moves allow Tampa Bay to get younger and potentially more productive in key spots, but it comes at the cost of familiarity.
If the Bucs don’t add one rookie or make any other changes to their lineup prior to kickoff, they will be more competitive than they were last season. While Evans is a huge loss, there’s some efficiencies gained with fewer mouths to feed. I realize they have to rank us somewhere but 20 feels like they see the same injury riddled team with a patchwork offensive line being trotted out in September. It’s lazy writing.
most pundits would argue we got worse from last season
We lost Mike Evans who was heart and soul of offense and while a bit washed, still our best WR. We lost Jamel Dean who was arguably our best player in the secondary. While also washed, we could lose heart and soul of the defense. Losing that leadership, coming off a season where the team quit, yikes!
we signed some defensive pieces of "Just another Guys" all in their 30s. They potentially could improve the defense but dont see us going from 20th overall to top 10 all of a sudden, thinking right around middle of the pack.
the offense, one would hope, will be improved. If it's similar to last year, this is a 6 win team tops. So only chance we have at another potential playoff birth would be if Baker under Robinson improve
Robinson has maxed out 8 wins in back to back seasons. This is an 8-9 team don't delude yourself people.
Alldaway NOT a fan of Robinson lol.
you may be right but pretty clear the Falcons issues went beyond the OC
mean Mike Evans having absolutely no faith in the team kind of tells you all you need to know if you take the blinders off...
Mike Evans is at a selfish part of his career, and quite frankly he’s earned that. Tampa’s WR room is too talented to have it go through an aging super star. He didn’t leave because of Bowles, he left because he can be the receiving bell cow in San Fran and he can’t in Tampa.

Bowles def played a factor, cmon... Even if it was indirectly (not a contender)

People who know Mike say he wanted to go somewhere to stack his numbers as he calls it a career.
Shanahan will make sure he is fed for sure. With an aging CMac, Kittle, and young Persall, Evans should be a big part of their offense if he stays healthy. Huge if.
Too many mouths to feed in Tampa. Facts.

in what world is a cast of Godwin, egbuka, an McMillan better than Cmac, kittle, etc
Not to mention San Fran’s much better defense, they won’t be throwing as much as a team like Tampa would
padding stats? Tampa would have been the choice cuz
in what world is a cast of Godwin, egbuka, an McMillan better than Cmac, kittle, etc
In a world where you're worried about receiver targets
but I don't know that it's stats as much as the 49ers are above the Bucs in so many levels from QB (for the current version of Evans) to OC/HC etc.
zero grief for making that move. It's his dream and it's undeniable the Bucs are in transition

but that’s what the knees isn’t getting. One reason Evans left is clearly he thinks the Bucs suck
