Before the comments come, let me say that I think its disgusting to deny someone service based on sexuality, however I think its an even bigger violation of actual rights to force someone to provide services for something that is against their religion, i.e. A Christian baker being forced to bake a cake for a gay wedding.

Tell that to FPL when they turn your lights off because black people, and their Spanish, White, Asian, purple, orange, and green friends stop going to your business. Let someone try that and see how that works out for them.That's bad for business if your intent is to make money.

But, back to the original point of the thread....isn't that what the NFL is essentially doing? Telling AZ if you pass this law, we are denying you our business and the millions in Super Bowl revenue that comes with it? Shouldn't that be applauded?

One could compare this situation to small diners in small southern towns that only served whites. eventually those small diners would come around, but for quite some time those small towns/diners would be bastions of racism. That said, the photographer case that is referenced in the AZ debate was really, I think, a New Mexico case where they have an anti-discrimination statute that INCLUDES homosexuals as a "protected class," so to speak. In other words, a state that agreed with your point of view and so they passed a statute .. . which led to a case . . that led to a bill, ostensibly.
The only law they need is to protect business owners from being sued or something for refusing service. If the owner doesn't want your money that's their lost, keep it moving. You wouldn't be satisfied with the service anyway.
