Interesting, talks about his closeness with Tristan Wirffs, then mentioned his excitement at the hiring of new OC, Liam Coen, was huge step, and that he was thankful…

Is Bake leaning more “Tampa-friendly”?

….

Baker's apparently making the rounds.  He's been on PFT, yahoo!Sports, This is Football, Pat McAfee's show, First Things First the Podcast, and a few others I don't know the names of.  Baker's agent obviously trying to drive up his market while the iron's still hot.

Pretty telling though that Baker is going on vacation with Wirfs and another OL right after the SB.

Once Bucs made playoffs it was all but guaranteed he was returning

then factor in the playoff win and his playoff yardage and TDs, factually speaking our most successful sans Brady season since our first superbowl over 20 years ago….yeah, they ain’t letting him leave

Lol. Of course he is.

This is where he'd get the most money. Licht has more or less publicly confirmed it.

Not to mention, it's a continuation of the system from last season (with possibly the same receivers/backs/etc.).

I can only hope so, cross my fingers, and like send positive Jujoo vibes southward from Ocala.  I really want him to stay in a Bucs uniform.  He is Extremely easy to root for, if he leaves, I’ll have to follow 2 teams…that’s too much work for me, I’m lazy😂😂😂

This could turn out to be a fun ride DH!  I mean we have some pieces on offense and defense, we also have some deficiencies that we need to work on in the draft and value section of FA.  We need interior oline to play better, either the starters now, and if they can’t show growth, next man in line takes a turn.  The center of the field, where White prowled…well that part of the field got shredded in the 4th quarter, can Britt Cover or or just play sound run D (which is still miles better than White, discipline matters).  The CB’s, CB3, he seems to play to soft, he’s a bend* not break* corner and..he allows too many short completions for first downs.  He a good tackler and will tackle them well, he flexes his pass defense in the red zone pretty well, but between the 20, opposing qbs can nickel and dime him up and down the field, he needs to learn to stop playing conservative and play aggressive.  Dean…casualty.  The Best ability is availability-Bill P (Legend!!!- He calls the TO.), Dean is our best cover corner imho, but him getting carted off the field basically sealed the game for us, Goof Goff passed on is at will.  He’s just not available Enough.  Imho, we should have should swap AW31 to SS- doesn’t matter, HE PLAYS big enough and can blitz the qb more often which he has an absurd knack for for his role.  McCollum at FS, and Izen, another gem rookie should have replaced Dean.

‘’get some continuity and trust going, get everyone under the same roof for the next 3-4 years, and it might be a great time to be a Bucs fan.  For both our sakes, I hope it works out even better than we could hope for.  Cheers buddy.

That's why I don't get the Baker hate. Take away Tom Brady, and it could be argued he's the best QB we've had.

well one season is not a large sample size but he won me over in the Vikings game with that putting the game away drive. Then he almost lost me with his performance against Atlanta and Detroit, then obviously won me over with the 6-2 finish including playoff play

he has a clutch factor more then our recent previous starting QBs not including the greatest of all time

i too obviously don’t understand the baker hate. When you prod the haters on a better realistic option, they can’t even give a name of a QB not already on the roster, so we may be dealing with low football acumen individuals

it’s not all hate some is legitimate concern about his inconsistency BUT man is that small subset of posters drowned out by the over-the-top Mayfield hate you’re posting about. Some of that is college allegiance, just like Winston before. Some of it is insecurity over failed or challenged “football acumen.” Some of it is this weird, Madden-like belief that you either have a SB team or you blow it up. Recall how many of the self-described football smart set argued that playoffs were meaningless ie the Bucs should basically tank to see Trask, get a better pick etc  Never mind that our two SB wins did not come from that strategy lol

This truth proves that it’s just trolling. Howling at the moon.

last year Trask supporters actually argued that the playoffs didn’t matter because they needed to overcome reality (Bowles fighting for job). We got to the playoffs and boy did it seem like it mattered to the same people who posted before that it did not. Lol

This could turn out to be a fun ride DH!

Yes, it could.

Could also set the franchise back 2-5 years.

Time will tell.

Hell yeah man.  I want it to be spicy.  Crow tastes best that way anyway.  To me, as awesome as it would have been to be a TB12 fan in his Prime New England Days, or even Mahomes Currently, it can be a bit boring, to me at least.  Its like Watching Mike Tyson in his prime, U knew there would be an entertaining fight that Tyson would Ultimately win in less than a handful of rounds.  It became PREDICTABLE 😴 😴  The Match against Buster was supposed to be another Boring Predictable, yet exciting win against another Fodder opponent.  Well Busters match vs Tyson- The Guy that KNOCKED HIM OUT OFF HIS PERCH as champion- literally and figuratively, is remembered as a man who felled a Titan.  The story of the underdog....its very conducive to drama which typically leads to enhanced entertainment.  You know the heart attack games. Rams 1999, Stinking Iggles in the late 90's, Monday Night Football vs the Rams with Shaun King and Warrick Dunn playing far past their ceilings.  All those games possessed a bit of uncertainty and a bit of Drama, and I remember them more clearly as a result.  I remember that azz kicking to the Rams with Shaun King better than in 2002 second or 3rd playoff games, but I remember Eiffel Towering the 9r's in the wild-card round (IIRC).  Yeah, man, I like winning, don't get me wrong, But personally, Id rather lose with my hair on fire than win while casually eating a vanilla Greek yogurt...It is just kinda boring, like punching babies or something.  Baller is like the anti-boring...I like that.
