Blake Bortles | QuarterbackAge / DOB: (22) / 12/16/1991Ht / Wt: 6'4' / 230College: UCF Draft Insider Tony Pauline writes that UCF QB Blake Bortles is a "clear-cut favorite" to be the Texans' pick at No. 1 overall.Pauline believes Texans owner Bob McNair prefers Johnny Manziel, but Bortles is a "Bill O'Brien type of passer," and Houston seems likely to lock in on signal callers with the draft's top pick. Bortles has drawn media comparisons ranging from Jake Locker to Andrew Luck. In his latest mock draft, Pauline pencils in Bortles at No. 1, and Texas A&M LT Jake Matthews at No. 2 to St. Louis. the guy projects as having the most NFL upside.

"UCF QB Blake Bortles is a "clear-cut favorite" to be the Texans' pick at No. 1 overall."
I find it hard to believe anyone is a "clear cut favorite" right now. BoB is still working on putting his staff together.
Clear cut favorite to be this years smokescreen
1st pick teams don't need smokescreenss
Clear cut favorite to be this years smokescreen
or bait for a big trade

even if that is true then they are basically saying they have him rated as the best and if another team wants him they have to deal with them.
Anybody who trades up to take Bortles over Bridgewater and Football is an idiot.
They are getting one very cute QB. I bet he's a great shower buddy.

how many 195 pound or 5'10" QBs do you see playing in this league? there is a lot to like about Bortles for the next level.
I feel like the Houston Texans are picking purely based on cuteness.
Looks like JDub finally landed that job he's always wanted. Time to start a tradition of the GM showering after the game.
Bortles and Bridgewater are the only legit QBs in the draft. Doesn't mean they can't be a bust.
