For what the rams will be asking, would you really feel comfortable drafting a guy who hardly played against a good defense in college?Imo, if tampa moves up, it should be for manziel.
Does the level of competition in college really matter? The ACC has the most starting QB's in the NFL right now and it's not like the ACC has college's best defenses. From what I read on Bridgewater, I think he will be a solid pro at the very least.
It doesn't always, no.But for what they would be asking, do you think that part is reasonable to exclude when considering it?Imo, it would be too much for any of them, manziel included. So, if I had to say we'd give up our near future for one guy, it would have to be a qb, and they would have to have stats. Obviously, if bortles is gone, and you don't trust tb fully, you then have to consider manziel.
Bridgewater was significantly better against the same competition as Bortlebee and did it twice. Additionally, he torched a Florida secondary that had 3 first round picks in it. Bridgewater is as close to a can't miss as you can get.

I agree 100%.Bridgewater will fill out his frame, just like Brady did. brady was 6'5" 220 pounds and thin as a rail when he was drafted. I like Bortles, too. He outgunned Teddy at Louisville. Bortles is clutch.

I don't like the way he processes information as it comes in second to second on the football field. Reminds me of leftwich, and I don't like that one bit.Idk about bortelbub (haven't followed him much), but I like qb's who can think and react very quickly in almost any situation, and who doesn't have a long/wide throwing radius. Honestly, from what I did see, it seemed like, he wouldn't be in the top of the draft.
I think Carr has the most upside in the draft honestly.

He wasn't even that big. He was 211 pounds at the combine! And ran a speedy 5.3 40.

Wait, you think Teddy doesn't process info well. Wow, really missed the boat on that.
I don't buy into the thinking that the Texans are taking a QB 1st overall. I'm not a huge Schaub fan but last year to me is more of a fluke. He's been a very good, efficient QB while he's been in Houston. It didn't workout in 2013 for various reasons and he didn't play well. But O'Brien is an offensive guy and he could look to fix Schaub. Plus with this being somewhat of deep QB draft they could still grab a guy at #33....If they are smart they take Clowney.
They have a pretty nice roster, I can't see them NOT taking a QB early. They need to get things rolling before some of their stars hit the rocking chairs.
They are getting one very cute QB. I bet he's a great shower buddy.
Apparently I missed out on something. Otherwise...
I think Glennon looks like a cross between a giraffe and Napoleon Dynamite. In the minds of a select few, this equals me only liking "cute" QBs....so they post about it all day every day. Joys of the redboard. Welcome back.
How did you piss off every grade schooler on the board?

and yet half this thinks we don't! Something I just don't get.

I made some over the top comments about how wierd Glennon looked on draft day. Said some nasty things. I apologized. Admitted I was drunk and shouldn't have been so nasty....but they can't let it go. Now they insist that his garbage play on the field has nothing to do with my dislike for him, and that it is solely based on him not being cute enough. It was funny for a day....a month later it's kinda pitiful. It's mainly just Doloris and CuteQBsOnly....or whatever screen name he is using this week. A few others like to jump on occasionally cause it's fun to gang up I suppose, but it's really just those two. Who knows why they latched on. I don't waste time trying to figure out posters like that. Just do my best to ignore them and continue doing what I do.
I think the only way the Texans don't take a QB, is if they like Bortles and Manziel just as much as Bridgewater. They know they can trade back to #3 and still get one of the three.....so if they grade them all out equally, or close to it, then it makes sense to move back and get some extra high picks. Another possibility for them is to trade back with Jax or the Browns for a King's ransom, and then trade back up to #2 from the Rams for slightly less. They'd probably gain at least a 2nd round pick by doing that, and they'd still get one of the top two QBs.

Continue doing what you do ? ...and what is that , getting drunk and making a fool of yourself ? Lol
I am by no means sold on Glennon. But at this point and our draft position, it really seems we have to roll with him. We don't have the luxury of giving up picks to move up in the draft nor should we. I think the QBs this year are a coin flip at best, so why not flip that coin with Glennon for another and use #7 to draft Matthews, Watkins or Barr. If Glennon doesn't work out this year then we have next year in a QB rich draft to get his replacement - and especially if we get Matthews or Watkins - we are adding more protection or skill around that QB to ensure success.
