4 weeks ago I wanted both gone like the rest of you I'd assume. Both have proved capable of improving when it mattered most. For Bowels let's hope he has someone hired as a clock management guru and allowed Canales to go for it on more 4th downs. He is already loved by the players and for the organization and fans I hope he can continue his success and BEAT THE SAINTS! God I hate the Saints. For Baker, you can credit Canales, the O-line, or Baker himself, but he's been playing lights out. He's also won the locker room and has us on pace to win the division on a rebuilding year. Both deserve to return next year with more cap space and additional draft picks to work with to improve. What do you think about the pair?

bowles should go even if we win superbowl. his passing defense is awful, our third down defense is a joke and he is trying to play his system with players who can‘t do that. he must go

I will be fine with another year of baker time if we can‘t find the better solution, that simple

4 weeks ago? At 4-7, yes wanted Bowles gone. Bucs started 3-1 and the expectations clearly have gone up. We then lost 6 of 7. What many don’t factor in is our first place schedule which saw us go 0-3 in games (eagles, bills, 49ers) but there were some bad losses in there mainly Atlanta and Houston.

Bucs need to make playoffs for Bowles to keep his job. They lose out and miss playoffs then again no, they need to make a change

but let’s say they win out or go 9-8 and make playoffs; Bowles should be kept. And I don’t like it as much as the next guy but Bucs would have overachieved this year and how do you fire a guy of a team who exceeds expectations

Fact of matter is, Bucs front office didn’t really care this year if not clear by taking the $35 million Brady cap his this year when they could have spread it. Also, relied heavily on draft picks then free agent vet additions. This year was about getting the cap right and shit, we still competing for a division title .

As for Baker, even 4 weeks ago, I was clamoring for a 1 year, $25 million dollar deal. Other than Kirk Cousins, and now maybe Russell Wilson, who would be a better free agent option as a bridge QB? Plus, baker will likely more command now, anywhere from $25-$30 million and likely 3 years.

we likely won’t be drafting high enough for the top 3 QBs in the draft. (I mean shit should all go in top 5 with bears, patriots and commanders)

build up the team a bit more in 2024 thru draft, see how baker does next year, and then decide in 2025 if we should add a QB when we will see if baker built on this potential pro bowl season and Trask is out of the league working as an entry level paralegal or accountant or whatever the hell he went to school for

throw out the football Gods gracing us with Tom Brady’s kind decision to join us

we last made the playoffs in 2008, 15 years ago. At that time, I believe Jeff Garcia was our QB and Jon Gruden our head coach. I mean shit Gruden had a whole ESPN career, rejoined the raiders, wrote emails, and got cancelled all during the same time period. Seems like an eternity.

we spent 2 first round picks on QBs in both freeman and Winston to see them both show signs of promise and flame out, bust in that same time period.

we saw the likes of Raheem morris, Greg shiano, lovie smith, and dirk koetter during that time period.

What does making the playoffs mean? Well…quite frankly. Everything.

Bowels and Baker? Does he have IBS? Colitis? Constipation?

But seriously, if the Bucs win the division and make a decent showing in their home playoff game, that will be enough to save Bowles' job. I'm not a Bowles fan, but I believe it will work since there will be continuity on offense which has already shown a lot of promise. The concern is can Bowles fix the defense? They are inconsistent at best, sometimes a splash play, sometimes a bonehead mistake, and everything in between. I believe the Bucs can fill some holes on this team with wise drafting and FA signings, and make some serious noise next season.

If Penix falls to the late 1st like I'm reading, finding a way to get him would be ideal. He may even drop to the 2nd round because of injury concerns.

We still need our QB of the future and this draft is stacked.
