So the Glazers have decided to retain Todd Bowles as Head Coach. What should the expectations be for Bowles in 2026?
OC- We now know Grizzard has been terminated. He needs an experienced play caller who can capitalize on the offensive talent.
DC- He needs to free up himself from this responsibility, and hire a proven competent DC with fresh ideas.
ST- He needs to terminate the special teams coach.
Strength/Conditioning- He needs to improve this area and reduce some of these injuries.
What do you guys suggest Bowles do to improve the coaching staff?
What regular season record for 2026 do you think should be the target to meet expectations of ownership? If I were in charge, the bare minimum would be 10-7. Anything less would be failure and cause for termination. I've reviewed the 2026 home/away opponents and 10-7 looks to be achievable but could be a bit of a stretch. I don't think they will win the division. Thoughts?
Fodder for discussion.
MCgaughey fired
second though dammit

One name missing (and should’ve been the first to get shitcanned from that group).
Realistic expectations are Bowles who is 62 years old doesnt learn from his mistakes and maintains being a bottom half coach in the league.
Given the Glazers not wanting to spend money, we bring in some ehhh OC, maybe an ehh DC but i dont expect big names and thus more of the same with a hope that we strike lightening Liam Coen style again
Home opponents - Steelers, Packers, Vikings, Browns, Chargers, Rams
I see 3-3 as best case scenario with that home schedule.
Away opponents - Bears, Lions, Ravens, Bengals, Cowboys
I see 1-4 as best case scenario in those games
division games - Falcons, Saints, Panthers
Any reason we wont go 3-3 again. Probably safe to keep expectations there
so what's that a 7-10 record?
now of course premature without draft and free agency and knowing our coaching staff, but i'm calling my premature shot at 7-10 as likely where this team is going by what i know now...and that's an improvement as this team post by was more like a 4-13 squad.
What's hilarious is that with all of these coaches fired, what's actually happening here is they're looking for the right group of guys to literally baby sit Todd Bowles. ESPN also claims in its article that we're considering hiring a defensive coordinator, what the fuck purpose does Bowles serve then? This guy is just going to simply be there, with no purpose of any kind, needing all sorts of protection from coaches around him just to not completely screw everything up.
The lengths the Glazers will go to have a black guy as their "head coach". It's even more obvious now than it already was.

but before bye they were like a 11-6 team . . . its all so confusing.
Maybe those two "likes" average out to their actual record?
DC- He needs to free up himself from this responsibility, and hire a proven competent DC with fresh ideas.

3 more gone, albeit not in the right order!
Team took a waiver on Bowles for another year - but they’re hiring his successor in the form of a coordinator.
It’s sub-optimal but survivable - depending on who the coordinator is.
“While seven assistants from the 2025 Bucs staff are gone, Todd Bowles will have the choice to continue calling the defense in 2026 and is not expected to have a defensive coordinator on his new staff.”

🤡🤡🤡
The ideal OC for Bowles on the market right now is Mike Mcdaniels a run first guy from the shanahan tree with heavy play action who also has coordinator experience. The only difference is the personnel he uses is speed which we have in Bucky and Tucker but Evans and Godwin are a smidge slower than he likes but I think he can make it work.
i do think he can take baker to another level and his timing

Oh you were so close to having a normal post. So very close...

McDaniels is a great choice. Egbuka and McMillan are the future anyway

by preseason that may be normal lol

THE problem with the team was the defense ALL season, so let’s keep the defensive coordinator.
Just have to wait another year.
