I'd want to see him on the edge 90%+ of the time
after his first year he has a been on the edge, exactly as you say. Guy is pretty amazing.
Which is the right way to play him

Yes, I think everyone agrees but someone has to tell Dan Quinn. He played him in coverage at that rate and they went 12-5 . . . and ya know . .. regular season records is where its at. . . for the Cowboys!
Quinn dropped him in coverage much less the next seasosn
crazy coaches
They went 12-5 because they dropped him in coverage? I know you don't think that

No.
I was saying that the drop in coverage thing is overplayed here and it does NOT follow that the Bucs shouldn't take Parsons in a hypothetical trade because Bowles would waste him. Even Biggs said that was FALSE lmao.
Anyway, the same posters now saying NO to hypothetically taking Parsons in a trade -because Bowles would waste him lol - were all for trading for Crosby last season? And picking up Reddick . .
the logical inconsistency of trolling

Ok but I'm not saying any of that so set it aside. Dropping ends into coverage who aren't skilled at coverage (like Yaya) is not a recipe for success most of the time.
When you have Micah Parsons you have more options and while I think dropping him isn't a great move I can understand it more than dropping Yaya or Reddick.

if you're getting to the coverage part the point of the drop (misdirection on pressure) has already been defeated.
if you watch the playoff pass to the Commanders RB with YaYa covering the zone blitz was dead before it ever began because the RB didn't move over pre-snap. They knew it was coming. Problem with using it a lot.
it's not a staple of a defense. It's a change up. Used by Bowles and many DCs

Depends how much you change it up. Bowles became predictable last year but *some* of that can be attributed to lack of talent/options on defense

Yes exactly. Thats why I mention that back-breaking play again st the Commanders. To much film of that to surpise anyone.
Bruce Arians dont know football
"“That’s no bullsh*t, brother,” Arians said of the Parsons ransom. “He is the best gamewrecker in the game. I’m giving two [first-round] picks plus maybe a fifth [round pick]. I was shocked this was all it [cost]. … I think it’s great for the Packers. I think it’s good for the Cowboys.”
Week 2 sees the Bucs as number 6 in the PFT power rankings this is the comment
6. Buccaneers (No. 8; 2-0): Yes, any team could have signed Baker Mayfield. Twice.
Future HOFer LVD speaking on the MCFee show:
“When Coach BA [Arians] got hired — and he can probably tell you this, too — I thought about leaving,” David said today. “I reached out to Jason [Licht] and said, ‘Hey, I know you guys are bringing in a new coach but maybe it’s time for me to leave and try something different.’
“A couple of hours later, a few moments later, I got on the phone with BA.”
“I changed my mind, ASAP,” David said after chatting with Arians. “When [Arians] got there, I definitely figured out what it was like to be an NFL football player (with) him coming in and changing the culture and establishing a foundation for a football team.
“I fell in love with the game all over again.”
“I definitely thank BA and Bowles,” David said. “Those guys definitely helped me fall in love with the game again.”
bowles is good man in many asspects, great HC in the building, everyone loves him and it is obviously fun to be part of his team, but he has zero capability of game/clock management and his secondary always sucks

I would almost say that this season his LBs suck more than the secondary, but yes the "good man, great HC in the building" etc is why I say he's been a good coach FOR THIS SITUATION. Unclear whether he is a good coach for going the distance. Have to get the offense back to see.
Greg Auman asked Todd Bowles why he didn't call a time out Sunday and took a delay of game penalty late against the Jets, making a field goal for Chase McLaughlin 5 yards longer (which we know was eventually blocked and returned for a TD).
Todd's response was, ""Chase is better between the 40 and the 50 than he is between the 30s."

McLaughlin's career kicking record:
30 - 39 yards = 94%
40 - 49 yards = 62%
Don't ever change, Todd.
