this is the one game on our schedule where most of us expect L
Yes, thats why I was asking about the way the L would come. Rams above average offensive day or same/below average?
Bowles has a trough job on his hands trying to hold back this offense
Football Night in America points out the dilemma
Co-host and former All-Pro safety Rodney Harrison said he thinks Bucs head coach Todd Bowles suggested Bowles simplify the defense to help his mistake-prone defensive backs. Dungy shot back at Harrison saying Bowles can’t do that because he literally has no pass rush without blitzing.
Harrison agreed
this is the one game on our schedule where most of us expect L
i mean also expected losses against Detroit and Buffalo so that is status quo
the surprises were the Eagles, whom we seem to always beat, and the Patriots who suddenly became a good team this year but those losses were offset by the prime time win over Houston and the 49ers who seem to always on us
6-5 is exactly where i had us as a healthy team heading into this season with a 11-6 final record.
our confidence is shattered given the losing streak but hopefully all is well next week against the Cardinals. that would be time to panic
@bucsbits - they are totally right. This is now 4 seasons of not being able to get a pass rush without blitzing. 4 years! Whose fault is that? I think it’s blame to both Bowles and Licht. It’s Licht’s job to find talent. But I 100% feel that Bowles has told Locht thru the years that edge isn’t a priority for him, because he can manufacture a rush. Shame on him. Get out of your ego. It has held this defense back for 4 seasons, if not more.

I agree with all of that except I dont know that its an ego thing. I think it would be easier to blame Bowles for negatively impacting the very limited resources they've had to multiple position type guys. BUJT even that has a all-in Super Bowl components.
I agree that Bowles seems to think he can generate rush pressure with blitzing. The only question is whether that belief is the DRIVER or the crutch? So, if you look at the Bowles years they rebuild the offense and then last year they started on the defense primarily on the back end. That left an exposed LB corp and no real answer to the pass rush besides Reddick, a "value" free agent, really. So, if because fo the cap (for example) you're building almost exclusively through the draft an value free agents then there is at least a seeable logic to what they are doing, even if iot has now been exposed by injuries. I say that because all of the draft picks are spot on. Egbuka makes a very real impact now, so do Parrish and Morrison etc.
I also dont know that the Bucs truly saw this as a Super Bowl team. I would point to Dean. They tried to cut him, right? They knew LBVDs ability, dint replace him and only have Dennis, a fifth rounder.
Who knows? Just my take.
4 seasons of not being able to get a pass rush without blitzing. 4 years!
SR has a video out that compares the 2020 defense front 6 to the Bucs current front 6. His point is that 2020 front six had multiple STARS that offenses had to fear and the current front 6 is all just STARTERS (no stars), with maybe the exception of Vea
@bucsbits - yeah. He loved my take on Sunday that they are all JAGs.
Bredeson back
Receiver Chris Godwin may be ready for Bucs return
Rams offense averaging 28 points and 360 yards per game.
all overs, no unders lol
lers see how it goes
Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.
Morrison and Mccollum?
Vildor and McCollum?
Parrish and McCollum?
Success is not losing 31-7 at halftime with Baker leaving the field with an injured shoulder

For sure. That was failure all around and insult added by injury (Mayfield)
