They tried to improve a position that sucked last year. That's about it.And they did it by bringing in one of the best in history with a non guaranteed salary. That banks pick should tell people they were trying to shore up the worst position on the team.

I love how some of you are operating under the assumption that a first round pick equals a Hall of Famer. So damn stupid. The Bucs have the best cover corner in the league, sorry, deal with it losers.

The Bucs have the best cover corner in the league (debatable)In a time where having one elite CB means less than it ever did before.  That we traded premium picks for while still paying elite FA money for.  In a time where the pay scale has made those first round picks more valuable than ever before.  Yay us.

We're the stupid losers because we don't like how a 4-12 team was constructed. Makes sense.

I want to know why...if they've bought in, and supposedly it works, does mccoy and revis question this system? Those are arguably the top two players on defense, minus david, and have complained about it, or were left scratching their head.

I've said this from the start.  Sure he's a good player and makes this team better but unless this team can contend in the next few years ( unlikely without a franchise QB), then it was a waste of two draft picks.

Several teams headed for the playoffs this year, have QB's I wouldn't classify as franchise QB's.

Exactly....Andy Dalton isn't the franchise but they have a strong D and elite WR with solid offensive play-calling that cater to the strengths of the QB. It's what you do when Andrew Luck is immediately available to you....you play to your strengths, stay disciplined and let the rest take care of itself. They're going to the playoffs for the 2nd straight year now and they may not be expected to win it all but they're in the hunt...now it might take a calculated risk to get them over the hump.

Wasted trade, if Revis was only at best 80% why trade 2 draft picks for him when NO other team was interested in trading for him? I still believe Dom will trade this year's frist for Gronkowski to solve the TE problem.

Bucpride5: "Wasted trade, if Revis was only at best 80% why trade 2 1st for him when NO other team was interested in trading for him?"Made up arguments are always the most convincing. But we didn't give two firsts.

The only losers are the Bucs with Revis. 4-11.

Micheal Bennett.

There was plenty of money to sign Bennett, but he wasn't big enough to play DE in Schiano's system.

Link? It was Schiano ?

Do you remember all of those threads where simpy's like you and the lil slugger went on and on about Bowers going to outperform Bennett, yada, yada, yada?  The link of SR reporting that Schiano's system needed bigger DE's like Bowers was in those.  Feel free to educate yourself.

So I guess that means no link. Lol. Educate myself on what? Your imagination?

My imagination?  Here's the crayons and construction paper for you to play with slugger:

As I understand it, the Bucs’ rationale for being cool on Bennett is the fact that he is undersized at 6-foot-4, 274 pounds

If you weren't so busy humping legs and getting DUI's, you might have remembered.Really, I'm stunned you even have the nads the approach this subject after getting completely pwned for nine months about Bennett.

I'm sure Revis' presence has had nothing to do with Banks development and the potential he showed guarding Calvin Johnson.

Oh ok. So Revis is the reason that the Bucs are 4-11. If they had drafted Millner they'd be 11-4. Ok, makes sense. Smfh

That's a link . . . an edited link . . lol  and boy you live in a vivid fantasy land . .  here's the whole quote:"As I understand it, the Bucs’ rationale for being cool on Bennett is the fact that he is undersized at 6-foot-4, 274 pounds and gets banged up from being tossed about by bigger right tackles. Yet Bennett wound up playing in all 16 games. Keep in mind that Seattle’s Clemons is 6-foot-3, 254 pounds and that didn’t stop him from getting to opposing quarterbacks 11.5 times. The Bucs are also concerned that Bennett might be an overachiever. After all, Stylez G. White, a 6-foot-3, 270-pound pass rushing defensive end, recorded a team-leading eight sacks and seven forced fumbles in 2007. His 2007 season was similar to that of Bennett’s 2012 campaign"Where does it say Schiano thought he was too little?  It says he gets hurt a lot because he's undersized . .  . and he's an "overachiever"lolz#confidencebuilderOh yeah . . Did they not teach what "undersized" means at Stetson Law, Counselor? You ask for link, and when you get pwned yet again, you deny it's existence.  The sky is blue, Counselor.  Only you would try to argue it's not blue, it's cyan.
