Our division sucks.

Dumb

You're right.

A division that doesn't produce a single .500 or better team is the cream of the crop.

It’s a bullshit take.  You know this. The Panthers beat the Rams. The Bucs beat the Seahawks on the road and the Niners.   The Falcons beat the Bills and the Rams.  At some point you just realize the NFL is hard.  There are no easy games or easy divisions. It’s the NFL.  When the discussion devolves to “The NFC South Sucks” you lose me.

how is the NFC South not the weakest division?

the NFC East had least wins but Eagles pushed our shit in and that was when we were good

Falcons and Saints won games when season was lost; Bucs looked like a bottom 5 team halfway through the year.

It’s not a bullshit take. It’s a factual one.

Give me a list of all the other divisions that the NFCS is better than.

who is in the Super Bowl this year, at 5-1, that Buccaneer team could have certainly made it to Superbowl.  It was there for the taking and we didnt even take the weakest division in football after a 6-2 start lol

So this is where we part ways for sure, but its a bedrock belief of yours, i think.

I get the statistics/probability point you're making, but thats why they are just statistics/probabilities.  if you look at the early games some of them are just as easily losses.

I thought we split with our division rivals? if so that is more than norm than anything.

The "weakest division" thing is also a bit misleading because its a weaker NFC division playing the best NFC division, right? And even then, as you pointed out in another thread we beat the Seahawks. The Panthers  and the Falcons beat the Rams. I think the division has 3 of 4 with winning records in the conference, so compare to the AFC North for example, every team BUT the Steelers with a losing record in the conference.  or . . . heaven forbid we bring the Cowboys division into the equation lmao where every team but the Eagles was completely underwater in the conference. . . and yet the Eagles were .500 in divisional play??

No one says the NFC South is the strongest division lmao, but the weakest division thing is overplayed because its the NFL.

If Tykee Smith plays basic safety we beat the Pats. We almost beat the Bills . .  games are close in the NFL, but the Bucs were not a Super Bowl team

Not with Bowles at HC.

so the Eagles make up for the three other teams?

I may have the math  off but isnt the N FC East 17-29-1 in the conference? The NFC South is 23-25 and played the best NFC division

happened in that Rams game.

I should have added that its the Saints loss that really sets the team into a spiral.  I say that because of a point that Arians just made about Mayfield. Arians seemed to attribute some of the spiral to Mayfield trying to hard to win it all on his own, like the early part if the season. If you subscribe to that belief (4th quarter INTS as an example) and you look at the way the Bucs lost some of the games down the stretch the Saints game stands out to me because it is where, in the past, they would have righted the ship.

Instead they go into the 4th quarter tied and I think the offense goes turnover on downs, FG and turnover on downs. In the past two season, the Bucs win that game.  Hell, earlier in the year they win that game against better teams.

I think those numbers are right.

Sort of hard to call the NFC South the worst division without saying that the Bucs were better than the Eagles?  I dont think that BUT the Eagles were .500 in their division too, against teams with a combined 16 wins. The other NFC South teams had 24 wins

The "worst division" thing is sort of a thoughtless anti-Bowles "screed," something  just accepted as fact by some when its really an opinion and its an opinion with facts that undercut it.
