I feel like this guy is really being slept on, and I don't quite get it. For you people who like numbers take a look at Petty's and realize that Mariota played 2 more games last season. 61 TDs to 10 Int in his two years as a starter He has a bigger arm, he is built far better, and throws the deep ball on an entirely different level than Mariota. I feel like Petty has been tremendously underrated because he plays in a "system", but that does not work against Marcus for whatever reason. IMO he is second only to Winston and even that gap is not tremendous. Love his personality, he is really humble, and seems like a good guy, but is not the shy reserved person Mariota seems to be. Can somebody distinguish Mariota for me, and tell me why the smaller player, with the smaller arm is better than the bigger arm, bigger frame guy with very comparable numbers??
