Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports According to Jimmy Kempski of Philly.com, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers should be one of the teams rewarded with a compensatory pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Kempski has projected compensatory picks with a high degree of accuracy for some time, and seems to have a good grasp on the details that the NFL uses to determine which teams get extra picks. For this season, the Buccaneers will benefit from the decision to let go of Kevin Ogletree before the midway point of the year, as that meant the Buccaneers lost more high-priced free agents than they added, and are thus awarded an extra pick. However, that extra pick will be in the seventh round, meaning it will likely be 250 selections deep into the draft. And unlike other picks, this compensatory selection is not tradable. Revis? Yeah thanks for handcuffing us to this guy for 6 years. No handcuffs at all. They could release him tomorrow if they wanted too. I think they may re-do his contract this offseason. Now that they have seen he is healthy. They could offer less per year, but have some of it guaranteed. I think he would jump on that.
