So I've never done anything like this before, but I've had thoughts running through my head and just wanted to jot them down. Any thoughts an feedback is great!Free Agency: I'm going to make up some numbers for contracts and probably lean toward the high end to sign the players.Doug Martin - 4yr/32 mil. I want Dougie back. Avg of 8 mil a year might be a little rich for me, but I would rather slightly over pay to keep him. Preferably, we can sign him for closer to 5-6 mil per. Sterling Moore - 3yr/12 mil. I debated making the contract lean more towards 6 mil per year, but I don't think anyone will pay that, but maybe I'm wrong. I think he will move on in FA, however, I think I would want him back at a reasonable cost. Makes CB less of a priority this year in the draft and push that to next year, possibly.Olivier Vernon - 4yr/42 mil. I don't how I feel giving him this much money, but I love the idea of him on the team. Getting him for closer to 7-8 mil per feels better. Travis Benjamin - 3 yr/14 mil. Him and Vernon are popular guys on the board. For being a third option and VJax being in what is most likely his last year, this is fine by me. Not my favorite player.Draft:Round 1: Noah Spence - DE - Our need for DE doesn't really need to be touched on. Pairing him with Vernon would help maximize that new Vernon contract and GMac's production. Round 2: Germain Ifedi - OT - Whether it's him or a different OT, I like the idea of getting a top guy earlier rather than later. Even if he sits behind Dotson a year. Round 3: Jihad Ward - DT - I think we need some more player makers in the middle. He's a guy that seems a little more versatile as well.Round 4: Karl Joseph - S - Potential upgrade to our secondary. I'm not married to Joseph because I think there could be other options at safety around the 4th.Round 5: Ronald Blair - DE - I think we can and should double dip in the DE pool. Whether it's two early or one early and one late. Developmental guy that we can get in the rotation and hope for a stud or at least a solid contributor. Round 6A: Roberto Aguayo - K - I know, drafting a kicker isn't popular to some. And he may even go in the 5th, but if he's here I like the pick. Kicker as been in flux recently for several reasons and with new FG rules, kicker is still important. Let lock that down for a long time.Round 6B: Glenn Gronkowski - FB - I believe Licht wants to upgrade this. He drafted Iosefa last year and Lane seems like he may not be back. Getting a FB with the bloodlines like this is enticing. Him or the Watt brother. Drafting a K AND a FB will be a 100% "NO!" to some or most. But often these are throw away picks anyways. I know the money on the FA might be off (could get more or less) and the draft...really who knows. But I think this puts us in a good spot, especially with about $50 in cap right now. This even leaves some money for mid/low level FA signings that will probably happen.Feedback?
