Todd Bowles says undrafted rookie Christian Izien will be the team’s starting nickel defensive back. Has not only made the 53 but secured a key role

I can see a handful of undrafted rookies making the team
Bowles said this is the largest rookie class he’s ever had as a coach “by far,” pleased not only with the draft picks but several undrafted rookies as well.
Bowles said "quite a few (undrafted rookie) free agents" will make the Bucs' 53, and in his coaching career it will be the most such players on his teams, "by far." Izien, potentially Tucker, Jarrett, Watts, Merriweather, others.

Bucs have started the process of cutting down their roster, waiving linebacker Ulysees Gilbert, who played a bit last season. Candidate for practice squad if he isn’t claimed.
Bucs have waived outside linebacker Hamilcar Rashed, who was caught up in perhaps the team's best positional depth. Could end up back on practice squad, where he was at end of last season for Tampa Bay.
Bucs are waiving cornerback Don Gardner with an injury settlement. Hamstring cost him much of preseason, but could end up back on practice squad, where he spent last season.
Pewter Report is reporting that the #Bucs are cutting WR Kade Warner, the son of Hall of Fame QB Kurt Warner.
The undrafted free agent out of Kansas State had 1 rec. for 19 yards in preseason. Bucs WR room has lots of young talent, including rookies Trey Palmer & Rakim Jarrett.
Nothing shock to far.
PR staff is in the camp that Gill is on the chopping block but the Bucs coaching staff loves Gill's situational pass rushing and he is a key special teams players. We shall see because it can go either way.
Also, Vaughn is another player where he may not make it because the team thinks highly of Tucker.
I think they might keep 4 RBs
Perhaps, but I suspect there will be some new names on the practice squad. Quiepo projected a practice squad filled with guys from training camp, but you know half of the practice squad is going to be added from other teams. And perhaps one or two new names will be added on the active roster once other teams make their cutdowns. When you are talking about multiple UDFAs making the team this tells you there is a problem with depth. Hopefully they can bring in a couple experienced players to shore up the depth in a couple areas. Bowles may be pleased with the performance of the UDFAs but he's not going to turn down a couple veteran backups if he can get them.Bucs have waived outside linebacker Hamilcar Rashed, who was caught up in perhaps the team's best positional depth. Agreed.
Vaughn just doesn't look good.
Bucs are waiving receiver Kaylon Geiger, who spent time on their roster and practice squad last year. Tough competition among young WRs for their last roster spots
CB Rodarius Williams has been released.
Bucs have made another move at receiver, waiving undrafted rookie Taye Barber, who had shown promise in camp. Third receiver already cut, with Kade Warner and Kaylon Geiger. Could be back on practice squad.

Bucs have waived offensive lineman John Molchon. His versatility makes him a smart match for practice squad.
