Don't post that often but I thought this might be interesting. No ground breaking news but I got to go the Pepsi party in Bryant Park last night and got to meet a few Bucs.Brooks is crazy nice guy. Ended up talking with him for a good 5 minutes or so about the Bucs and the Seminoles (before I let him know I was a Gator). He seemed excited about the possible (likely?) Hall of Fame announcement today. Met Lynch as well but didn't talk to him much at all. He did agree that my wife took a bad picture the first time and that we needed to reshoot it.Glennon was there too which was a little surprising - just because everyone else there seemed to be stars (Brees, Rice, Aikman, Ditka, Emmitt Smith, Brandon Marshall, Marcus Allen, etc.) but I guess there could have been a messload of other rookies there that I just didn't recognize. Glennon was by far the tallest guy in the room (and a little balding in the back). He was with a hot chick though, so good for him.Talked to Aaron Rodgers for a minute on the way out and asked him if Gruden really did tell him that the Bucs would take him with the 5th pick. He said Gruden did say that and that the Bucs "lied." It worked out for him and he seemed happy that his brother was in Tampa. Again, nothing earth shattering but it's not that often you meet a bunch of NFL guys. It was a good party - the Pepsi rubbed BLTs were surprisingly good.
What could have been with Rodgers. Thanks for the post.
Sounds like a fun time. Cool that you met those guys.
Cool story. The only NFL player I ever met was Shane Graham in a bar in Radford Virginia. He was a bit of a superdouche. Stupid kicker.
Awesome. I met Dunn and Brooks back in 99 at a United Way golfing tournament. They were both very nice, cool guys. Thanks for posting.

truth!

That's why you need to draft a QB somewhere in the first 3 rounds until we get our Franchise QB.... Bridgewater, Carr, JFF, Garoppolo,Mettenberger can all be bust or the next Aaron Rodgers/Wilson/Kapernick. Just look what Seattle did in 2 years with taking a QB in the 3rd round.
What could have been with Rodgers.
But how might his career have changed had he not been able to sit back for a couple years and learn from watching Brett?

Fair point. Unfortunately we will never know.
Well, he did have a big heads up on the system, staff, and players unlike a lot of first time starting qb's.That knowledge and comfort level had to have helped out some starting out.I mean, the talent helps, but still. Starting out well also helps.
