As Bucs offense seeks to play a complete game like first half vs. Bengals, they face a Cardinals team Sunday that has given up the most points in NFL this season at 26.6 points per game. Defense ranks 32nd in red zone, 25th on 3rd down, 25th in sack %, 23 in INT %, 23 vs. pass.
The Bucs should win against a losing team playing their third string QB. But the Bucs make backup QB's look like all pros.
I have been a pessimist every week for probably 6 weeks or more. This week, realistically, we are facing a team that is probably a lot worse than we are. If the Bucs can take that 1st half offense from last week against a much better team, and put that up against AZ for most of this week's game, they should come away with a win. Of course, Todd Bowles will probably shut down the offense if they get too much of a lead. Run left! Run left!
Dose of realism:
What if Bucs first half against Bengals was more Bengals coming out flat then Bucs playing well?
The second half turnovers involved at least one unforced error but some are also Bengal’s defense.
The Bucs are terrible, and it's entirely possible that the first half offense was just a flat Bengals D... but we couldn't score against a bunch of other teams all season, even terrible defenses... so we must've done something right against CIN. I'm not confident about much with this team, but if they can come out against AZ like they did against CIN, we should be okay... with an emphasis on IF... this team has been so inconsistent and predictably underachieving. Who knows, Bowles may demand Lefty runs the ball 30 times, and we end up scoring 3 points in the first half. For some reason, I'm feeling confident about beating AZ... but nothing surprises me this year.
Blow they ass out and go on a 7 game win streak. Focus needs to be regained and coaches/players need to stop just collecting checks reminds me of the years before Arians. Fire needs to be lit under their ass which is asinine considering Brady is on the team.
