Wish they would do this here.Imagine a world where you can go to a professional sports event where you pay just $5 for a beer. Or how about taking your family to a game, and being able to buy four hot dogs, four orders of fries, and four soft drinks for $28? Sounds like something someone would say wistfully, with grandpa relating tales from his youth about going to the ballgame and not having to pay an arm and leg to eat, drink, and be merry.Well, for Atlanta Falcons fans, those prices will become a reality once the team moves to its new stadium for the 2017 NFL season. In what is being billed as a fan-first menu, fans will pay $2 for a non-alcoholic drink, with unlimited free refills. For the same price, you can also purchase bottled water, hot dogs, pretzels, and popcorn. Pizza, peanuts, nachos, and waffle fries can be had for $3, and $5 will get you a 12-ounce domestic beer.“What you’ll see is pricing for concessions as a thank-you to our fans. It’s a way to say thank-you to them for their loyalty,” said Falcons owner Arthur Blank at a press conference Monday.Blank also said the pricing is not a grand opening stunt and will remain standard. The pricing will also be in effect for other major sporting events to be held at the stadium, including the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, SEC Championship Game, the College Football National Championship (2018) and the NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2020. http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/dollar5-beers-and-dollar2-hot-dogs-at-a-pro-stadium-it%e2%80%99s-really-happening/ar-BBt7gqL?ocid=spartanntp
