Tom Krasniqi ?@TKras 1h@AdamSchefter reports #Bucs interested in Mike Munchak for their offensive line coaching positionI was hoping for this after Sparano stayed with the Raiders. Adding him would be huge
I think they get him.Very much like Smith.
I think he just interviewed with OBrien at Houston.
Probably a long shot, would be nice if they pulled it off.
He already interviewed with the Texans for their OL coach vacancy...he's interviewing with the Browns today for their HC spot and, IIRC, he already interviewed with Detroit for their HC spot...Even if he doesn't get offered a HC gig, why would he choose us over the Texans, whom he's already interviewed with? It's a stretch, IMO.EDIT:Oh, and of course the Bucs are interested in him...there's really nothing earth shattering there...Could also be another Sparano situation where he and his agent are using us to drive up the Texans offer.

Lovie interviewed with Houston first too. Fortunately, they keep letting good coaches walk out of their office. Munchak would be a great addition. He's also interviewing with Cleveland Browns for their head coaching position today.

hed rather work for lovie smith than bill obrien?

Why would he want to play second fiddle to a first time HC in Houston? I don't think its a lock for him to go to Houston anymore than it is for him to come to Tampa. We will see which situation he prefers most as I don't think he will get one of the remaining HC jobs. Who knows, he may decide to sit out a year like Lovie. What I do like is that Lovie is putting a premium on getting a high quality OL coach. We HAVE to infuse both talent and solid coaching into the OL and Lovie knows it
Why would the Texans job be considered more prime than ours? If anything he's waiting to see if he gets an HC gig and then would decide where to coach OL.
Who was the OLine coach in Houston for Kubiak? Didn't they usually have a good OLine?
Should have picked up Tice
That Dennison guy I think.

Dennison was OC, John Benton was OL.
If I were Munchak, I would be looking very forward to playing the Titans twice a year. Money and stability will probably be the ultimate factors in his decision but that point cannot be understated in my opinion.

The players there, if nothing else. Duane Brown and Chris Myers have been among the best at their position for a while, and Brandon Brooks was a 2012 third rounder that played really well last season. Their OL group is quite a bit more attractive than Tampa's.
