 THE DEFENSE DID ITS JOB
Credit where it's due. The Buccaneers' defense played an excellent game today against a Kyler Murray who was genuinely bad all afternoon. The secondary was disciplined. The run defense was physical. Bowles drew up a solid game plan and the defense executed it well enough to win this football game.
They held up their end of the bargain. The offense didn't hold up theirs.
THE INTERIOR LINE IS A CRISIS
The interior offensive line was a disaster from start to finish. Graham Barton, Ben Bredeson, and Cody Mauch were consistently beaten, pushed back into Baker Mayfield's lap, and unable to create any semblance of a clean pocket. Brian Flores' pressure packages did exactly what everyone expected against an interior that has been struggling since Week 1. The pocket collapsed before routes developed. And an offense desperately needing rhythm against a beatable opponent never came close to finding it.
Three games in, the interior of this offensive line is no longer a concern. It's a crisis.
THIS IS WHAT THE GLAZERS GET
The Glazer family had an opportunity this offseason to make a coaching change. They chose continuity instead. Eleven losses in fourteen games across two seasons with the same head coach.
The Glazers made their choice. The scoreboard reflects it.
0-3. The Packers come to Raymond James next Sunday. At 0-4 this season is effectively over. The urgency right now cannot be overstated.
