did the same GM in San Diego draft Rivers AND Brees? If so, who was that guy?
The same GM that fired Marty Schottenheimer after a 14-2 season
a big part if their problems was that Marty wanted to keep Brees and the GM wanted to play Rivers. That team drafted some talent though back then. They were loaded.

John Butler was GM when San Diego drafted Brees and Tomlinson.
