Report: Mike McDaniel to interview for Bucs offensive coordinator job
Report: Mike McDaniel to interview for Bucs offensive coordinator job
My #1 choice. He seems like he can tailor an offense based on the weapons he has available. Tua was damaged goods the last couple years so I don't put much stock in to how it ended there.
I think McDaniels did what he could with the limited resource he had in Tua.Report: Mike McDaniel to interview for Bucs offensive coordinator job

Hopefully, we’ll see what either McDaniels or Monken can do.
I do think it’s a good sign that McDaniels is interviewing. He’s interviewed for HC positions, but he took an interview with the Bucs for the OC position.
Interesting.
McDaniel is a perfect fit. Light it up, take over as HC in 2028.

Because our offense is not a bad choice to work with. Our oline needs help but if Mike comes back we have a above average offense with him calling it.
If you were Monken, or any other established OC looking for a job, what is it about the Bucs' OC position looks promising to you, other than you might be in pole position for HC the next year?
Well, you have a ton of weapons, and a good O-Line (when healthy).
And, you'll be able to clown a clueless dope on the other side of the ball during practice and training camp.

1) You are a HC in waiting. That's a legit reason. If the offense is running smoothly and the defense still falters, then Bowles gets the boot and you get the HC job.
2) You have an established QB in Baker Mayfield. The QB is huge. McDaniel had a subpar QB in Miami, and I'm guessing priority #1 for him is having a QB who can run his offense. With Baker I think you have to bring in a legit backup, but that can be arranged.
3) The weapons as mentioned.
4) The O-line. That's gotta be huge. To be able to have Tristan Wirfs anchoring your line is not something you can buy, not something you can draft. The OC jobs in Detroit and Philly also have good tackles in Sewell and Johnson, so there's competition in that respect. But the Eagles have some issues with the QB there apparently.
If the Bucs can land McDaniel or Monken that would give us some reason for positivity going into next season IMO.
No HCIW. This year should be 100% separate from future seasons. Todd and Jason are tied at the hip. Licht sucks...LBH...dude is living off of Brady and nothing else. Licht's record is 93-104...he sucks as a GM and anyone defending that POS is a loser. 45% winning percentage over 12 years.
Only Brady's years make him look semi competent. Dude had the same losing % as Mark Dominik. He sucks. Any JL blowers can find another team bc you hate the Bucs.
There's NO reason to keep a perennial loser like JL unless you hate the Bucs. The glazers are garbage as owners so that's their excuse...what's yours?
FIRE JASON POS LICHT LOSER
Daboll would be a good candidate too.

You sounds ridiculous.
The fire Licht crowd have no idea how fine a line it is between fielding a solid competitive team and ending up like the Giants or Jets cycling through coaches and GM's every 3 years.

What does that have to do with Logan Hall over Trey McBride and not jumping the Chiefs for Creed Humphrey?
What does that have to do with Noah Spence, JTS and Chris Braswell?

This kind of stuff is silly
Before the Cardinals game both Scott Reynolds and Joe Bucs Fan reported the Bucs really liked McBride in 2022. But they didn’t draft him, they drafted Hall.
McBride is 1st team all-pro and we have a horrible TE room. Hall and Otton are both likely gone. It was a terrible pick. There’s been a lot of terrible picks.
