What does that have to do with Logan Hall over Trey McBride
This kind of stuff is silly
Before the Cardinals game both Scott Reynolds and Joe Bucs Fan reported the Bucs really liked McBride in 2022. But they didn’t draft him, they drafted Hall.
McBride is 1st team all-pro and we have a horrible TE room. Hall and Otton are both likely gone. It was a terrible pick. There’s been a lot of terrible picks.
JC, its silly because its basically crazy hindsight/reverse engineering that is at odds with reality.
They didnt "draft Hall" to begin with they traded back to get draft capital intending to draft the Hall position. . FOR ANTHER SUPER BOWL RUN WITH BRADY:
"Bucs' general manger Jason Licht orchestrated four trades over the course of the three-day event to create additional draft capital. In the first round, the Bucs moved back from the 27th overall pick to the first pick in the second round (33) and acquired the first picks in the fourth and sixth rounds respectively. The Buccaneers continued the trend on Friday with additional shifts."
So, at the outset the real time circumstances are at odds with the idea that would use that early pick IN THAT YEAR on a TE over the D-line . . with Brady back. In fact, didn't Gronk saying he wasn't coming back POST draft?
"Gronkowski told TMZ in April 2022 that he was "not ready to commit" to the game and needed more time to heal his body after dealing with numerous injuries throughout his career. He officially announced his retirement in June 2022, informing the Buccaneers he was done with football."
And of course you're leaving out that they missed on Hall but hit on Goedeke, using some of the draft capital to trade up to get him.
etc etc
As a former GM (cough cough) you would know better than most that the CIRCUMSTANCES often dictate the actual draft approach.
JC, you and the other "stopped watch" Licht haters should be celebrating that he linked himself to Bowles this year rather than making up an alternate reality about TEs.
You might finally be "right" if/when he gets fired.
No HCIW. This year should be 100% separate from future seasons. Todd and Jason are tied at the hip. Licht sucks...LBH...dude is living off of Brady and nothing else. Licht's record is 93-104...he sucks as a GM and anyone defending that POS is a loser. 45% winning percentage over 12 years.
Only Brady's years make him look semi competent. Dude had the same losing % as Mark Dominik. He sucks. Any JL blowers can find another team bc you hate the Bucs.
There's NO reason to keep a perennial loser like JL unless you hate the Bucs. The glazers are garbage as owners so that's their excuse...what's yours?
FIRE JASON POS LICHT LOSER
You sounds ridiculous.
The fire Licht crowd have no idea how fine a line it is between fielding a solid competitive team and ending up like the Giants or Jets cycling through coaches and GM's every 3 years.
What does that have to do with Logan Hall over Trey McBride and not jumping the Chiefs for Creed Humphrey?
What does that have to do with Noah Spence, JTS and Chris Braswell?
Yes lets go back and look through every draft for 32 teams and complain about players they didn't draft.
speculating he'd follow Harbaugh
Reports: Todd Monken a top candidate to be Giants offensive coordinator
That is a given and the NFC is becoming tougher with Harbaugh in the conference now most likely.
Want an interesting OC candidate with energy and experience? Bring Gruden back as an OC, gives him a chance to prove the game hasn't passed him by, gives fans something to be intrigued about, and brings energy back. I honestly don't think the Bucs will be successful chasing any of the big names currently being interviewed due to Bowles' dead man walking impression, but Gruden would be an idiot to turn down a chance to call plays again, even if for a year. I suspect the TB community might be more willing to accept his screw-up than many.
of course, how good of a playcaller could he be these days? Barstool commentary is no pressure, and as I recall Gruden was a tad stubborn with his gameplans.

Gruden at OC, Bowles at DC.....talk about a disaster lol
Man, Mike McDaniel is the choice. no doubt about it
EDIT: Now to your point, if they miss out on McDaniel, Monken, etc. and we are left between the Cardinals QB coach and Gruden...then yeah, i can see where your head is at but let's see how we do with some of the top choices. I would think Bucs would be right up there with Eagles and Ravens jobs in terms of Offensive fire power.
Want an interesting OC candidate with energy and experience? Bring Gruden back as an OC,
Want an interesting OC candidate who was grossly overrated as an offensive mind and who fielded a Top-10 scoring offense in only 28% of his professional tenure?
Bring Gruden back as an OC.
@badabingbucs as I wrote, I think the Bucs are NOT attractive as a team and as noted by others, why would anyone with potential want to come here for a possible 1-year ride?
Gruden over everyone we have interviewed barring McDaniels or Monken. He has flaws, absolutely, but maybe he can deliver.
no, I am not a Gruden apologist or a fanboy, just looking outside the box because I don't have faith that we cam land anyone worth a damn otherwise.
@donkey_hunter point taken, but 28% is better than "no data" in certain cases, like no experience. I don't think he is an offensive genius, but all this time he has spent analyzing should amount to something.
How does anyone defend 93-104? Brady is long gone. Licht was garbage before Brady and is garbage after Brady.
Is Brady coming back? Who thinks 104 losses over 12 years isn't a pattern of losing...hell...that is with Brady...what mental gymnastics are you telling yourselves that he is a good GM? Brady? Great. That's a once in a lifetime opp...and it already happened.
He sucks out loud. 93-104...he sucks. He's a crappy GM. How much more evidence do you you morons need?
Auman
"Former Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel will interview for the Bucs’ OC job Friday. He would consider a great OC opportunity better than a not-great head coaching vacancy."
i get where you are coming from with the Gruden take, but it could be a disaster if Gruden isn't up to the task. It could be like Pete Carroll with the Raiders. I could just see us becoming the laughing stock of the league. Gruden won't want to take orders from any head coach, and I'm not sure the players will take Gruden seriously after he's been out of the league so many years. I see mushroom cloud level disaster written all over it.
