If center and edge is addresses the rest is easy to figure out for the Bucs through the draft and undrafted free agents in my opinion regarding boundary CB, boundary WR, RB and ILB for developmental purposes.
My thoughts exactly.
It appears nobody really knows what the Bucs are going to do. This morning I saw the following predictions about who the Bucs will take: ESPN--Cooper, LB, Texas A& M; Draft Wire--Verse, Edge, FSU; Draft Network--Barton, OL, Duke; NFL.COM--JPJ, C Oregon (oh please, oh please, oh please); PFF Wiggins, CB, Clemson.

Strategically, thats a good place to be before the draft, right?
@bucsbits - agreed. We would like to keep other teams guessing.

My goodness, if Verse were there at #26.
I've been watching a few of your team's podcasts and whatnot lately. Tampa 2 (btw, just wow your hosts are a lot easier on the eyes than any Chiefs hosts), BucsNation, Locked on Bucs, etc., and my gut says Licht is going to draft a DE/EDGE in the first round. Makes the most sense, logically as well. If the draft doesn't fall right, probably a IOL (C?).
@feelindangerous06 - if the right edge is there at 26 I could see us signing him. But I’m high on Verse and I don’t think he’ll be there. I could see the right corner or center/guard drafted at 26 as a possible starter.
Sounds about right during the Licht era. I don't think many people thought Bucs were after Kancey last year. Most had us going after a RT in the first round and that was just a smoke screen. They were higher on Goedeke than most which had others worried how the OL would be.It appears nobody really knows what the Bucs are going to do. I think it depends on who’s left at #26. If JPJ somehow slides, maybe Barton, the rest of these center’s (that will be available at our pick) can be gotten in 2nd round, but the same goes for the Edge position.
Depends on which teams reach on a QB(s) - as to which of the top Edge/iOL position falls - if we can’t trade up to where one of them are at #20, I still see us trading back. Of course, that depends on a partner wanting someone at the bottom of the first.
Still think #26 screams CB.

Due to the # of batted balls last season, I'm hoping we pick someone like JPJ at center with our 1st pick, someone strong up the middle. However, if Verse is there when we pick, it would be impossible to let him slide.

Tannenbaum has both Latu and Verse available at 26. Not sure I see that happening, but would be nice. Similarly-sized guys. Latu has more production. Verse had a slightly better combine. It's a coin-flip, but I would take Latu over Verse mainly because of his production.

but … but …
our C only was only the 23rd worst C giving up pressure… on the 7th worst line…
lol
kidding … wacky Red board statistics!!

That's not a line problem, that's a Baker problem.
He's always been towards the top of the league in batted passes.
I wouldn't mind JPJ, as he think he'd be a stalwart piece on this line for years to come.
But, if Verse or Latu are there, I would take either all day over JPJ.
We'd still be able to find an upgrade at C and LG later in the draft.

I've seen a number of mocks with Latu falling to our range. Only seen one with Verse.
But, I'm leaning towards your train of thought with Latu. And, it's simply because of production.
@donkey_hunter - I’m all in on Verse, but not with Latu. Latu is too slender. Looks fragile. Verse can handle the physicality of the NFL.
