Bucs signed Jarius Byrd's father as our CB coach.....does this mean we will look to swap out The Hawk for a Byrd?Sorry. Couldn't help myself.
haha, one can only hope !
I hope so, the Hawk was absolutely terrible this year....
Or maybe Byrd can teach Goldson basic tackling technique ?? ....you know , that thing most of us learned in Pee-wee ?
I think we need to get the best cover safety available in FA or draft to play deep. I actually like Barron a lot as I think he's a very good hybrid player than can do many things on a football field. I don't think he's really great in space covering WR so we do a guy who can do that very well even if they can't tackle a peewee football player.
I like the idea of all 3 safeties myself, and 2 LBs. Since Goldson and Barron play like LBs anyway, why not? The Dolphins in their perfect season started a 215 lb LB nicknamed "Captain Krunch" in a much less pass-oriented era...

That's pretty crazy and not likely...but I like it! :P Of course I have been rooting for the Big Nickel for a few years now so I am biased.Seriously, I'd rather have Barron, Goldson, and Byrd on the field with David and Foster.....than Goldson, Barron, and a third LB. Whether it's pass or run situations, I'd take those three safeties over an extra LB every time.Unfortunately Goldson costs $9M a year and Byrd will cost about the same, maybe more....and Barron costs $4M. No way we can spend $23M on three safeties. Especially when we already have a $16M DB in Revis.
