How am I wrong about  something that hasn't happened yet?   Baker's numbers will never be lower than $49 mil cap hit after 2026

Because you keep saying his 2026 cap hit is $49M and it’s not.

Well, I'm going by Spotrac, so go argue with them.  $49,375,000 according to them.

OTC has it correct, which was echoed by Auman and others (not to mention, updated and explained)

So, again, you’re wrong.

Moving on…

OTC has zero guaranteed money for 2026 so perhaps that hasn't been updated.

$40,000,000 salary, $5,775,000 prorated signing bonus $3,600,000 prorated restructure bonus.  Do the math, and stop doing the meth.  $30 mil of the $40 mil was guaranteed, but the salary is still $40 mil.

"Mayfield announced that the team has restructured his contract to guarantee $30 million of his $40 million salary for the 2026 season."

Spotrac is also saying the $30M guarantee is for the 2027 season.

What Spotrac isn't accounting for (that I brought up to you while you were crying that there was no way we could re-sign Godwin and keep everybody), is that the Bucs converted $13 million of salary for 2026 into a bonus. This increased Mayfield's 2025 salary cap number by $2.6 million and decreased his 2026 cap number by $10.4 million.

Spotrac has his '25 cap hit at $23.8M

OTC has it at $26.4M

That's a difference of...

This increased Mayfield's 2025 salary cap number by $2.6 million...

Spotrac has his '26 cap hit at $49.3M

OTC has it at $38.9M

That's a difference of...wait for it...

...and decreased his 2026 cap number by $10.4 million.

Do the math, not the meth.
