Alex Marvez ?@alexmarvez 2mEchoing other media reports, I spoke to someone in @TBBuccaneers organization & belief is Lovie Smith strong favorite to become head coachlol
First time seeing this..
Everyone is saying Lovie is our guy. Hope it turns out to be true.
If the rumor that Tedford has already agreed to be Lovies OC is true , then I am all for this .
Ian Rappaport on NFLN: Tampa Bay Bucs "extremely" interested, but Lions (Mayhew) have "serious" interest too
Since everyone is saying Lovie. I doubt somewhat that it's going to be Lovie.

Rappaport just reported as much
I think he's just a rooney rule guy.I hope they don't hire him right away and explore their options first. He's good but his style may not translate in this division.Plus, we really need an offensive mind. Defense is great in playoffs, but you have to score points to get there.

Stuff like this is why we can't fart around. Get this done now and save ourselves any drama.

I don't know man. If you are in a gladiator arena and your 3 opponents are all trying to get the biggest sword it may not be a terrible idea to pick up a shield.
Some are saying its a smokescreen. Well see.

Kind of what I'm hoping, but you do have to expect him to be the front runner here.
At first and really for months now(it's been months people have been rooting for Lovie Smith), I've been saying(mostly to myself) that 'how is Lovie Smith different from an average coach than Schiano?" People are constantly saying Schiano is just an average coach, but then they're rooting for Lovie. So, I haven't been overaly excited.Recently, I thought, well Lovie can probably make the D better the same way Zimmer will, and Lovie has much more head coaching experience; so, o.k. I can see putting Lovie above Zimmer for the head coaching job. The question is, 'there's nobody else out there?' I'm finding that kind of striking. How about Hue Jackson.I'm prepared to go through Lovie Smith seasons till David Shaw is ready to make the jump to the NFL.- on the Drafting ability,He seems to be good up top of the draft, but I don't see him finding much in the middle and later rounds.
Damn. Where have I heard this before?
