According to reports by sources close to Lovie, Lovie is drawing interest from the Bucs, Texans, Skins, and Lions. But the Bucs is where he is most interested in going to.Likely agents are the sources here, so you have to take things with a grain of salt. But it makes sense that Lovie would have a lot of interest here.
Hurry up, get it done, build the staff, hype the draft!#PoetryByBeatles
Since everyone is saying Lovie. I doubt somewhat that it's going to be Lovie.
Kind of what I'm hoping, but you do have to expect him to be the front runner here.
I expect him to be the favorite but it almost never works out that way.
"People are constantly saying Schiano is just an average coach, but then they're rooting for Lovie."Worse yet, there's an opinion held by a large majority that in the modern NFL you must score points to win - and then they're ready to jump on the Lovie train. Guy is one of the worst offensive coaches of the last decade. Makes no sense to me.
Lovie seems to think the OC is the big game changer in his formula this time.
I want Hue Jackson or Todd Bowles.
Marvez has been a good source for breaking Bucs news in the past.Another tweet:Alex Marvez ?@alexmarvez 57mSource also said Greg Schiano was surprised by @TBBuccaneers firing. Penn State would definitely be of interest to him, source saidSource =?= Schiano
Lovie has been working hard and preparing for his next chance. He's a smart guy, and I think he knows he needs more offense.
Lovie Smith is definitely the favorite right now. He's the safest bet and the Bucs need some stability.

This is one of the things I like about Lovie. He's a bright guy that just had a season off to study what works and doesn't work in today's NFL. He's been planning for his next job since the day the Bears fired him and I'm sure he's looking to make some changes in what he does.

On the surface that sound great but when you stop and think about it it isn't a good thing. That sounds like it took him getting fired to realise he might need some offense and work on that but he never thought of it during his 9 years he was in Chicago? That worries me big time, I get he did know he needed offense while with the Bears which is why Martz came in BUT that didn't work.I can't see him magically fixing the offensive issues he had for 9 years just because he had a year off.

Lovie bringing Tampa to a 13-3 record next year.

umm...I'm pretty sure he tried to fix the offensive woes by hiring different OC's and even upgraded the QB spot. Martz just wasn't a good hire for their personnel and I think Jerry Angelo had more to do with that more than anything.

I think it was King at SI who wrote an article arguing that the once unpopular "retread" was the best NFL coaching candidate, specifically the talented retread that just didnt get all the way there on the first go around. He argued that this type coach was one who had learned and was ready to apply the knowledge.

Don't post comments that make sense or anything. It's easier for some to digest that the reason Lovie's offenses didn't look good is because he just didn't want them to.
