Would be a nice short term solution at tackle til wirfs is back
He's graded out significantly better than Heck throughout their careers.
It's not saying much, but should provide a good camp battle.

Yeah, he's a clear upgrade from Heck. Solid run blocker, at least.
Bowles sounded optimistic about Wirf's return, but . ..

X factor for 2025: The fallout from Tristan Wirfs' knee injury. How long will the star tackle be out? Can the Bucs weather the storm during his absence? Will he immediately return to stardom once he returns? Part of the Buccaneers' success in 2024 was a line that ranked top six in both pass block and run block win rate. It will be much harder to continue their level of play without Wirfs as an advantage in the trenches. -- Walder
we'd be foolish not to bolster the depth at OT especially with this many weeks before the start of the season

And yet, Baker tied with Cousins for most thrown interceptions.

Yep.
While playing in a high percentage passing offense too, so definitely a concern
a couple interesting items on Mayfield's INTS. I mentioned hte high % offense, it was alos pretty high volume so Mayfield is throwing a lot passess due to the dink/dunk nature. Hes in the top 5 in number of plays and Attempts
Also Cousins has similar INTs on less playing time and only 18 TDs whereas Mayfield throws 40, I think? So a little bit of a counterbalance. For example, 3 of Mayfield's INTs come in at 51 point mauling of the Saints. and if you look at them, one is 100% on him, forced a ball to Evans. The other is a tipped ball and the other is McMillan missing a low pass and batting it up.

yeah, i went back and rewatched several games, and counted 5-6 INTs that either definitely weren't Baker's fault (like the pass McM tipped on the slant vs. NOR) or were 50/50 balls that the receiver probably should've caught. but of course, there were also at least 4 INTs that were definitely on Baker. And tbf, almost all QBs in the NFL will have a few of both every season.
But i can easily live with a QB that throws 30+ TDs and 10 or less INTs. If Baker can keep that INT number below 13, everything will be fine. And I have little doubt he'll be able to do that fairly easily.
Fant can play multiple spots so he is worth bringing aboard.
