Since the board turns to poo poo this time of the year, we need other things to focus on. So, I have assembled a list of my favorite players in the draft. This is for offense. I have not done defense yet.I ended up with 12 players for offense because I choose a FB and 3 WR. I suppose you could go with 4 WR and no FB or any combo that adds up to 12. Why not 11? Because it is a game and 12 is more fun. These are my favorite players, not my top ranked in every case. You can do all top ranked, or Mariota fans could have all players with the best stats. There is no wrong way to do it really.QB - Jameis Winston FSU.Jameis is a special talent. QB's with his abilities as a leader come around about once a generation. He is simply the greatest player I have ever seen play college football........and he did it as a freshman. This QB has truly unlimited potential. RB - Melvin Gordon Wisconsin. Gordon is like a bigger, stronger version of Jamal Charles. He is a homerun hitter at RB. He can take it to the house on any play.WR - Kevin White WVU.White is a very intriguing player. I noticed his speed watching the film, and was a bit surprised he ran a 4.35 40 with his size and build. He has the brains and work ethic to match. Not quite in the Megatron conversation as a WR prospect but he is in that next tier with the Mike Evans of the world.WR - Breshad Perriman UCF.What can you say? He consistently runs right by people. Not a polished route runner but has extreme potential. WR - Darren Waller Georgia Tech.Gonna be a "baller". Very raw. Project player who is projected to be 7-UDFA by almost everyone. Pure potential.FB - Cameron Stingily NIU.Our running game will never, and I mean ever................... be defined by "midget" ever again. We are going to wreck sh$/#.LT - Andrus Peat Stanford.Initially did not like him after a few plays but went back and watched more of his games and he is a rock. Has rare NFL LT potential.LG - AJ Cann South Carolina.Great player if you ask me. A 1st round grade I give him which is rare for a true OG. He is a power run blocker and the SC scheme even had him in pass pro vs the RDE at times and he had plenty of feet. Should be a very solid OG and immediate starter as well.OC - Cameron Erving FSU. Looks very solid inside. Has good hands for the position and great size, length and agility. He is a dream come true for your OL coach and fans.RG - Donovan Smith Penn State.LT in college but will be a OG in the NFL. There are lots of players ranked higher but none I would take over Smith based on the film and Senior Bowl practices. Again, high potential player.RT - Rob "bone crusher" Havenstein Wisconsin. Rob is not even my highest rated player at this position. He is my 3rd highest RT behind Collins and flowers, but my favorite of all. He is not a great athlete, but he is a very good football player. He is a ferocious run blocker. He is pretty good at cut off blocks despite his lack of overall athleticism. His pass protection will be challenged at the next level and he will step up IMO. TE - Clive Walford Miami.I like Walford. I think if the Bucs had him it would be an instant upgrade. He has blocking ability and he has some good moves as well. He has good change of speed for a man his size. Rob Havenstein video: http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=v7zIbQ_SM1U
