The biggest key to winning this Sunday is our offensive line.
Philly's defense is centered around the four man front getting to the quarterback.
Call me a clown, but I feel confident our line will be up to the task.
Philly's depth is incredible along the defensive line. Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, Haloti Ngata, Derek Barnett, Michael Bennett, etc.
The key to winning up front is going to be winning 1on1 matchups.
Donovan should have Brandon Graham all day. While 76 can have a bum play here and there, he usually rises up to the challenge against great defensive ends. Last week against Cam Jordan was a perfect example.
Dotson will be on the other side where he should see a healthy rotation of Derek Barnett and Michael Bennett. Like 76, 69 is known to have a down play here and there but is mostly solid, even against top competition.
Ryan Jensen will likely be seeing Ngata early and often. This one could get scrappy, two badass dudes going hard and playing nasty. I could also see Benenoch tasked to man up with Ngata so that Jensen can help Ali, who has the toughest matchup of the week.
Marpet will be the main man working against Fletcher Cox. Fletch is gamewrecker. He can single handedly blow up a play. Sort of a cross between 93 and Aaron Donald. Marpet will have his hands full, but I know he isn't backing down. While he could be humbled a time or two, I expect him to show up big time against the all pro DT.
Last week, Fitz had enough time in the pocket to learn a new language. While I don't expect the same level of excellence against the best defensive line in football, I do expect the OL to hold up long enough for Fitz to throw a few more of those glorious aerial bombs. In my opinion we will put up another 3+ TD performance, primarily through the air.
If we gameplan well enough and neutralize that dynamic defensive front at least 50% of the time, Philly's DBs will be exposed against our pass catchers, as they like to run a lot of man coverage. That's what the Saints did last week, proving that if our line gives us protection, we can dominate man coverage.
Brian Anger will be a little busier Sunday, but our defense will not give up nearly as many pints as last week.
