Davis can be afford to have that much cushion, because the Nickel/LB/hash Safety his side will be under Digs/Slants/Posts. He primarily needs to worry about the Fade/Hitch/Comeback here. The play is a Slant/Post combo. The inside receiver completely muffs an easy catch and tips it back in the viscinity of Davis. This isn't a particularly difficult play, but he does show adequate ball skills here in making the pick.
