Can someone please make the draft Carr in any round discussion stop. He would be a nice free agent pick up but please, please, please dont draft him.
Carr =Trend Dilfer v2.0
Trend Dilfer.... Trent Dilfer's younger, hipper brother
How many threads are you going to make stating your same tired opinion?
That's what these boards are about. If you are not in to voicing your opinion about Tampa Bay Buccaneer's football then dont participate.

Or David Carr's ....it'd be funny if it wasn't true....

If the Bucs did draft Carr, in any round, it wouldn't mean that coach Smith made a mistake (as the title of your thread suggests). It would mean that you were wrong about your evaluation.

What exactly don't you like about him? other than the fact the he's David Carr's Brother.

In a year where we are reaching to make average QB's seem good and good QB's seem great for the sake of off-season NFL interest and discussion I suppose. Carr is the most average. Look - Louisville, UCF, and Fresno St dont pump QB's into the NFL. Carr's stats and game remind me of a Timmy Chang type QB. He's just not a pro QB. Plus, we have a QB that has shown promise and would benefit from a veteran coming in as opposed to a rookie that would just provide a side show where it doesn't need to be. Glennon is a much better QB than any of the top 5 in this years draft and there is no way to convince me otherwise.

Because Delaware is QB factory full of Flaccos? Admit it, Carr bullied you in high school.
Is there really any schools that cranks out NFL QBs? They seem to come from all over.

Well and you see guys from "small" conferences having success: Roth, Romo, Flacco, Kaep just off the top of my head are all not major conference players.

Im not sure I would use the Flacco defense. But yes, NFL QBs can come from anywhere. Carr throws a very nice short pass. For a team lacking guys who can get YAC, I dont see why so many are high on this guy. I only watched one of his games, and it happened to be his worst one this year. While he could end up being a decent QB down the road, I see nothing that warrants a top 10 pick.

Bama might be the most consistent at putting QBs in the NFL...as back ups.

Wait a second. Didn't you start this thread by asking:

has the almighty Bama even had one 1st round QB in the last 20 years? I don't believe so.
