Is there really any schools that cranks out NFL QBs? They seem to come from all over.
Well and you see guys from "small" conferences having success: Roth, Romo, Flacco, Kaep just off the top of my head are all not major conference players.
Bama might be the most consistent at putting QBs in the NFL...as back ups.
I was trying to think off the top of my head who has 2 starters in the NFL from the same college program and the only one coming to mind is NCSU because Glennon played and so did Rivers.
And you could kind of throw in Wilson for NCSU. Carr will be Fresno's 3rd 1st rounder in the last 19 years. As good as any program. Not saying they turned out as good pros by any means.
I guess I'd like for Tampa to try to avoid the off-season sideshow for once. We dont have a great history of handling such a circus. GLENNON WAS A ROOKIE LAST YEAR ON THE MOST DYSFUNCTIONAL TEAM EVER AND YET HE MANAGED TO PLAY ADMIRABLY AT TIMES. Let's not put dirt on a guy that is just getting started when there is no Joe Montana in this draft.

FSU has Ponder and Manuel...for whatever that's worth.
I have a strong feeling that Carr or Jimmy G will be Bucs. if not, Bortles, Manziel or Bridgewater.I personally would be surprised if the Bucs drafted any QB not from this list.

I could also see Murray/Mettenberger if we get to the 4th and have not picked one.

That would be terrible.Muray/Mettenberger are not beating out Glennon.

IMHO neither are Carr or Jimmy G. Grabbing either Aaron or Zach would give us 2014 to look at Glennon but possibly have our guy in 2015 without having to draft another.
Murray I can't see. Not sure he has the tools but Mettenberger I could see winning that duel. I've read that pre injury he was the #1 QB for some teams.

That's pretty much irrelevant. Younger QBs rarely straight up beat out established players. Either the established players gets dumped and the young passer gets the job handed to him or the established guy starts the season and as soon as the sucking and/or losing gets to be too much, the young guy gets it. Glennon never even technically beat out Freeman. Things just got to the point where moving on from Freeman couldn't get any worse.

Im not saying Murray is a sure thing, but he did beat out Zach at UGA. Living in Atlanta I am force fed a lot of UGA dribble...but I really like Murray. I dont think he is a start right away guy anyway, but give him a year of holding a clip board and I think he could be something.

If Glennon isn't your guy you take a QB in 2015 which will be an even better class.

He is a guy like Fales that from the neck up is as good as it gets not sure he can spin it well enough to be a starter though. I mean I think your best QB from a mental standpoint are Bridgewater, Fales and Murray in this draft. I don't think the latter two have enough arm to be starters.
Do we know for sure Murray doesn't have that good of an arm? I really wish he was healthy enough to throw at the Combine so scouts could get a look at him directly compared to the other guys, but he did a lot of down the field passing in college. He's had very good YPA's the past two years.

I've not seen any reports claim he has NFL level arm and watching him his arm didn't look that good.
