But he can't overcome the deficiencies and will a flawed team to victory.  He wants to. He can't.

Sure he can. Maybe you could say he can't do so as often as the other you name

My oldest clear vivid memory is bert emmanuel rams with my dad and brothers

Buddy, you literally stated:

The Bucs reach new hype I havent seen in my entire lifetime of being #2 in the power rankings, starting qb getting mvp consideration.

Were you not around 4 years ago?

We had more hype this year imo reason being Brady had MVP fatigue

Not sure if this is a schtick or if you're actually being serious.

Well tonight would be as good a time as any.  No time like the present to prove it.  The Rams are coming off a couple huge wins verses division rivals.  This could be a trap game for them.

You think we had more hype with Brady? I think we had more hype this year but i see youre point. At 5-1 we were all over espn sports talk and monday mornings after we beat SF. The topic is trivial anyways lol

Not trying to be rude, but there’s simply no way this is serious.

Yes.

We had more “hype” with Brady.

Exactly.

And, he was very much at the top of MVP conversations constantly (and should’ve won it that year).

The were hyped as a contender during the 5-1 run this year.

In 2022 the Bucs were hyped as a contender when Brady returned, but after the first 2 games that dissipated and most of the coverage was questioning the Bucs because they went on a 4 out of 5 losing streak (maybe 5 out of 6) including some very high profile games like the loss to the Chiefs and the home opener. I am not sure but he was probably dicussed as potentila MVP when he returned (based on his stature aline), but by midseason Brady is not in most MVP discussions.

For example this was PFF midseason

"You could make a case for Patrick Mahomes or Jalen Hurts here, but the MVP of the league through Week 8 has to be Josh Allen. Not only are the Bills the No. 1 seed in the AFC and the team to beat this year, but he is currently the highest-graded quarterback in the NFL (90.6).

Buffalo has the No. 2 scoring offense in the NFL (29.0 points per game), and they've already defeated three former MVP quarterbacks: Lamar JacksonPatrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers. And in every one of those games, Allen has outplayed the opposing signal-caller

Allen is on pace to total over 6,000 yards this season, which no quarterback in NFL history has ever done. He's already scored 21 touchdowns this season and leads the NFL in big-time throws (20)."

This is CBS:

2022 NFL midseason awards: Eagles' Jalen Hurts is the MVP; Seahawks' Geno Smith is Comeback Player of Year

DH and I were definitely referring to the non forgettable Brady years so 2020 and 2021 where we were legit Super Bowl contenders

but to be honest even the 2022 year came with the Brady appeal and “we’d be scary if we got in”

we were clearly pretenders in 2022 as we have been the entire mayfield era

but as I have said before, give me pretenders over what we’ve been pre Brady

The SB hype and MVP considerations were talked about daily in the national media.

Most importantly, and as everyone knows, Brady was the one who brought the winning culture to the franchise/locker room.

I was probably learning anatomy, so only caught the games taht year. I just remember losing to rams early, saints then heinecke and eeking by the patriots, which is why we never really got the hype. Also the antonio brown game where we were losing to the jets.

I do think there was brady mvp fatigue because arods stats werent even close to Brady's. I agree brady should have won

Amen

the 2022 year and even the rebuild that followed were a small price to pay for 2020 and 2021

lol easy tiger. I wasn't denigrating Brady. He was awesome in 20 and 21, less so in 22 but still worth it

of all the great things Brady did (and there were many) his greatest might have been getting so much production out of AB given what we now know about AB, unfortunately.

Great years for sure. Fun ride
