What does this guy even do? Hes a rookie but he was a 2nd rounder and hes making little to no impact. He might end up being one of worst Lichts draft picks
Reached on a edge rusher from a college stacked at defense.
Not shocking... It's hard to evaluate some of those stacked SEC defenses
A bit early to call a bust but yeah does remind me quite a bit of Noah Spence as far as impact here thus far and an early pick.
Adrian Clayborn comes to mind as well.
Bowles talks about him like he's slow developing long-term project. Probably not a good sign.
I cant think of a game or play where he really stands out?

Unfortunately, he's turning out to be the overdrafted player many of us thought he was. As a second rounder, if he can't get more snaps and production with the lack of edge players on this team, something is wrong.
i forgot the guy was on the team lol
Licht sucks at evaluating edge rushers that's for sure.
Hall, JTS, Braswell... Diaby is sold tho
i mean, let's look at our leading sacks
Bea and Kancey at 6, David at 5, Hall at 3.
Edge guys
Nelson 3, Diaby 2, JTS 2, Braswell 0.5
brutal
we knew going into the season that edge was an issue. We only could do so much with the salary cap given the dead cap space and bringing back alot of our guys. The Hope is maybe they can address edge in the off-season.
it will no doubt hold us back, if we make the playoffs this year, like it did against Detroit last year.
Edge guys
Nelson 3, Diaby 2, JTS 2, Braswell 0.5
Of these guys, is it fair to say that only Diaby would be the actual surprise and even he is getting pressures but just not converting them to sacks.
Nelson is a rotational guy whose max has been 5.5. JTS was a last chance BUST and Braswell a rookie and rookies dont often produce much.
I thought i read that Diaby was solid in terms of pressures? could be wrong

yeah maybe it's not always in the sack numbers, but let's be real, they get measured off of it
look at the top sack leaders - Trey Hendrickson, Myles Garrett, TJ Watt, etc.
i will say that sack numbers seem down as a whole this year. Leading guy has 12.5 sacks. Even TJ only has 9.5 and he typically gets like 15-18
Diaby not getting more than this rookie year with more playing time doesnt seem like progress but maybe somebody can explain to me the pressure numbers
Sacks are down because 2 high safety makes teams run and throw quick.
Which means Wr2 and slot feast. The lone exception seems to be Chase whom nobody will double
PFF had him at an 88 Sunday, maybe he just needs more reps.
Or double well I should say. I'm sure Dallas was doubling him last night (very poorly)

Yes sort of the opposite of progress
i can’t find it now but I think SR has written several times about the coaching of the ends so that made me wonder if they were doing something differently

Pff continues to be a joke with their magic formula.
Kancey is always one of the lowest players
