So Clowney is a pass rusher that thinks he is worthy of going #1 and had a total of 3 sacks this last year. Crazy.

It was all due to the fantastic game planning by other college teams that always assigned (3) players to block him ( ABSOLUTE LIE). The excuses that his cult following made for the guy was off the charts starting with the UNC tackle that handled him. Announcers claimed he was one of the best OT in college football! :o Of course this is ignoring the fact that the UNC tackle is rated a 4th round pick and 12th rated on the board for OT this draft. Hey he tests good on the physical side but on the field I just don't see a 3 down DL at all. A one trick pony that only can put on a fierce pass rush that turns into a liability when teams go right at him. Just looking for a big paycheck so he can retire after signing. imo

Yeah you can see Sapp doesn't like him. He's missing something in the way of heart.
It is hard to like a guy who doesn't produce and all the excuses in the world are just that. Plenty of guys play hard knowing they will be highly drafted. Plenty of good players get double teamed. The really great ones still create numbers. Clowney is a physical freak going up versus inferior physical talent -- he should own them. When he gets to the NFL the physical talent gets a LOT better in terms of the players he faces in particular. He's not a technique guy so if his physical tools don't let him win he doesn't have a fall back right now.

And he won't get any sympathy vote, that's for sure.
