So, yes, we have noticed him. And not just today, everyday it seems like he’s doing something.’’Outside the boxFor the second year in a row, the Bucs have pulled a player out of the Arena League to bolster their defense. The chosen one this time is LB Sammuel Lamur, a former Kansas State quarterback who was playing for the Tampa Bay Storm.Lamur follows in the footsteps of DE T.J. Fatinikun, who was signed last August and wound up sticking with the Bucs all season.“When you have success with outside-of-the-box thinking, you have to go back to that,’’ Smith said.Play of the dayQB Jameis Winston was walking off the practice field at the end Thursday’s workout when a man in a crowd of fans waiting for palyer autographs shouted out to him: “C’mon Jameis, don’t treat us like Josh Freeman did.’’ Winston immediately turned around and walked over to the crowd waiting along the sideline, where he spent nearly 15 minutes signing autographs, posing for pictures and chatting with fans.***Quote of the day“Going against Gerald is something else.
