The fact is that Conte did rough the holder and even as the refs called leaping because they were clueless, he did commit a personal foul.If he blocks that ball, though, there is no call. Conte made an absolutely outstanding play to jump over the center but then looks like he almost treats it as a punt or is afraid of being hit as he moves to the left slightly so he won't run into the kicker. At that point, though, the ball can't go through you. Jump down at the ball and plow into him and not only is the roughing off the board, but it is both still a one possession game AND we could have picked up the ball and run with it.Easier said than done when you aren't on the field, but he is a professional and trusts the pads and helmet he wears every play. Block the kick and you don't need to worry about hitting them, and given where he was and that this was his intention anyway, he should have done it.
