I hear he could be had for a second rounder
dealing with his own injury but a full participation in practice
do the Bucs want to compete this year or do they waive the white flag ?
Nah he’s been injury prone lately and older and will take godwins money next year the second can be used on a mlb or wr
Nah! Just utilize the speed of the Buc's young WR's on quick passing routes.
For a 2nd? Fuck no
For a 3rd? Only if he plays 8+ games
For a 4th? Yes
For a 5th? Fuck yes
For a 6th? No, those are for punters and kickers
How much did Cooper and Adams get traded for last week? Cause they’re both better players at this point
It's common knowledge, when needing to fill in for an injury, you trade away draft capital for an oft-injured replacement.
He's got a huge contract and he's an injury waiting to happen...again, which is why they are looking to deal him.
If Godwin was back next year I’d say no
with him being a FA id give a third. Second is too much.
maybe two thirds.
I thought Bowles already addressed this in his press conference? He said he’d consider bringing in another receiver, but when pressed by reporters he pretty much indicated the brass is not seriously considering it, due to cost (draft capital, versus our need, and longevity). He also said it’s actually time to see what we have in the guys we drafted / which is a total dodge - even if Jmac is playing well, his body isn’t ready and he isn’t consistent enough yet to be considered anywhere near Chris Godwin/Mike Evans caliber.
So maybe we’ll get another slightly over the hill guy like Sheppard…maybe for depth.
I don’t see it happening.
KC just picked up DHop for a 5th round pick. We missed the boat on this one. Surely they would of preferred to ship him out of conference
Id pick Cupp over DHop, being juiced doesn’t even help DHop anymore.KC just picked up DHop for a 5th round pick. We missed the boat on this one. Surely they would of preferred to ship him out of conference
I’m pretty sure the 2nd rounder for Cupp was just the price tag to keep him out of KC, but need would drive up the cost. Which is why I think it’s foolish to assume the Bucs would consider that, or any big name trade.
To look at this from a business perspective, without my heart engaged: I believe the front office thought we could have surprised with their roster, but have always counted that they were 1 year away from being able to compete for a Super Bowl, so my guess is the team will adjust strategy & expectations with their current roster for this season - and have set their sites on next season.
Its a gut-punch - but that’s how I think a small market team would approach this dilemma.

i thought second round picks were for career back-up QBs and kickers :)
all kidding aside, a 4th that can become a 3rd seems fair

Only if we make sure trade up to draft a kicker at some point.
I would always trade for kupp, even knowing he was part of the worst play in our history. he is always open!
Now that’s funny.For a 2nd? Fuck no
