Could Lavonte play Mike?

I was reading one of the PR articles on the guys we brought back and had forgotten about Danny's start at weakside when David missed the game against Cincy.Danny had 15 tackles including 13 solos and 3 for loss. To me that signifies that he can play both strong and weakside. I personally didn't think he was very good in the middle, but could David slide inside? Or is he too small? I feel like his aggressiveness is already taken away in this new scheme so would we really be losing that little playmaking from him by the move?
