Lorig is a pretty solid FB though.... I don't know if that position would be on my to do list. Also, I would say a Pass Rushing DE > TE.. but Ebron in the middle of round 1 would be ideal. And I think it would be a good move if we could keep Gorrer around (if it was close to vet minimum). The rest seems pretty good though.
Agreed on Lorig. He makes a very low salary and is a good player. You're also cutting 4 players from the OL but only bringing in 3. It's an area where we need depth and I'd be cautious about cutting Larsen and Carimi. We'll likely keep Nicks for another year because of his contract, but getting rid of Davin is something I'm on board with.
Going to need more LBs.
I never had Tim Wright tell me on Twitter than he was 235lbs. I never even saw an article were he said that. If he did, good for him. Now if he can just get up to 250bs+ and not be as slow as molasses....maybe we're on to something. I just have a hard time believing that a WR that went undrafted because he was too slow and lacked explosiveness at 220lbs....is going to get up to 250lbs+ and not be incredibly slow. Seems like a logical conclusion to me....but I'm sure I am just being a hater.
well...I was right about Carimi and Landry so far. :)
This is not a good route, or even remotely realistic.
Carimi and Landry gone day after I posted, my plan is unfolding.
And cut Mike WIll? Really? ???
The last regime was ready to do it also .... is it really that shocking ??
This was an oversight. I think we should check his trade value.
I certainly don't agree with this route.
My route started to unfold the very next day. Carimi and Landry...bye bye

LOL, I posted the quote for you from Tim Wright before and you ignored it and kept claiming he was 220 lbs. “I’m to about 235,” Wright said. “I want to get up to the 240-pound range. I think that would be optimal for me with what I do as a player and what I bring to the team. If I got too big, I would be like every other tight end and lose some of my speed. If I’m too skinny I won’t be effective.” https://www.pewterreport.com/index.php?option=com_k2&Itemid=20&view=item&layout=item&id=9293 I'm sure you just missed that Fab Five and it wasn't because you wanted to keep complaining about his weight.

Surprisingly, I don't cling to your every word. I know it seems impossible to you that I never saw one of your posts from who knows how long ago....but it just might have happened. Either that, or you conspiracy theory is right. I guess we'll never know. File it as an X-file.Doesn't change anything really. He was slow at 220lbs, he was slower at 235lbs, and he'll be even slower at 240lbs. And his target should be 245lbs -250lbs anyways. Maybe then he could block.
No, your thing is that you claim something, claim something, claim something to be true and then when someone proves it wrong, you somehow miss it because you don't cling to every word. I'd love to find that discussion because there was back and forth discussion about it until I quoted it and then, since you "don't cling to (my) every word", you conveniently missed it and just kept claiming what you wanted to claim to prove your incorrect point. It's something you consistently do.
My bad, you did acknowledge it.
Wright said he weighed 235 now and wanted to get to 240.
Even if this is true, there is no way a TE should be less than 240lbs. Especially at 6'4". 240lbs should be the absolute minimum. Otherwise there is just no way he can do his job at the professional level. The only way he is the exception is if he is a freak of nature like Shannon Sharpe....but he is not. The whole reason he was moved to TE is because he was deemed too slow to be a WR.He was 219lbs at his pro day, and you simply don't add 20lbs of real, healthy muscle mass in 5 months. I just think that he should be our 3rd WR, not our TE. If he has a future in the NFL it is as a WR imo.
You just ignored it so you could continue with the criticism you liked to make.
Real Tight Ends, meaning bigger guys that can truly block a linebacker, force a defense to respect the run and often times keep their base defense on the field because that TE will light up a DB if they go nickel and the RB will be off to the races. When you have a 220lbs guy that can't block, he isn't a TE, he is a slot WR, and the defense will not respect him as a TE or fear the run. They will stay in Nickel and he will be covered by DBs, not LBs.

Typical Jdud ....biased as hell in all his evaluations ....

I still don't see your point. You didn't post a link or anything. You just made a claim with nothing to back that up. How do I know it's true? Like people don't lie on the internet? You sound like you are crying like a child because you don't like the way I post. If you are really convinced I am such a phony....then block me. It's really that simple. Or you can continue to take up your time searching for old conversations that prove nothing and posting/whining about my opinions. I don't really care either way. I'm done with this pointless back and forth though. To be clear, I think Wright is extremely overrated on these boards. I think he is slow and average at 220lbs or 240lbs. Maybe he'll end up being something more than an average one dimensional back up TE...but as of right now, I'm not buying it. The end.
