Revis didn't make this team because he was nowhere near the best corner this year. Glad David got some recognition. He deserves it.

Unless you have been watching football for about 2 years you'd know that sacks are the gold standard for any position that can wrack them up on oro bowl voting. Much like INTs are the measure of DBs. As long as the OLB spot is mixed between 34 and 43 spots the 43 guys will get hosed every year. They should have a 34 defense picked and a 43 defense picked.

Willis is an ILB, so David didn't beat him out. Kuechly beat out Willis.

Im not really understanding your comment I was being sarcastic obviously sacks are the gold standard but ummm I would rather have my linebacker get 150 tackles and 6 sacks then 9 sacks and 40 tackles i was speaking to the fact the mostly 3 4 linebackers who are essentially defensive ends made the pro bowl over our GUY but if you want to stick up for them go ahead I mean what the hell do I know I just started watching football a couple years ago. I do agree with you about having a 4 3 picked and a 3 4 picked which is essentially what I was saying also you have to run a 4 3 at the pro bowl the 3 4 is illegal which makes it extra stupid to have all the pass rushing line backers in hawee wee

I'm basically agreeing with you, fans sort their pro bowl ballot on sacks for OLB and DE. 34 DE other than Watt have the same issue. I can't say David is better than Mathis because the two dudes play 100% different positions so comparing them is basically pointless but that is what pro bowl voters have to do.

I see your point and I guess we have been pretty much saying the same thing. So I guess the logical thing to do would be to go with your suggestion and pick a 3 4 linebacker and 4 3 linebacker that seems the only fair way to go about it. They have completley different assignments in there defensive schemes so its virtually impossible to compare there stats . but that is another reason why David was so deserving the guy had 5 ints. tied with some of the best corner backs in the league 6 sacks tied with alot of decent defensive ends and over 150 tackles simply elite at his position and killed it with tackles for a loss. So its almost like pro bowl voters ignored the 4 3 defense and said he doesnt deserve it cuz he plays in a 4 3 I just cant figure the logic of not voting him in to the pro bowl. whatever I cant keep crying over spilled milk, thanks for your input and I like the idea of maing it fair having a 4 3 and a 3 4 linebacker because this should not happen again.
